Round of applause for our sponsors

Im so grateful to have discovered 3D art as a career path! Prior to that, I completed a vocational baccalaureate as a design assistant, but I felt unfulfilled. When I stumbled upon PIXL VISN, I felt an instant spark of excitement and enthusiasm for 3D modeling. Despite the challenges, I never lost my passion for bringing characters to life. Looking ahead, I'm optimistic about the future and determined to become one of the top character artists in the industry.

aspiring 3D environment artist

It happened a long time ago. But I didn't have a chance to start working in that direction. Now it's time to make my dreams come true ))

After school, I started studying Game Engineering in Kempten but quickly switched to Animation & Game in Darmstadt after one year to go more into the digital art direction. During my Bachelors there, I dipped my toes into the VFX Industry while interning at TRIXTER VFX. After graduating, I am doing my diploma at Filmakademie Ludwigsburg to further expand my skillset into the animation & VFX direction.

I've always admired individuals who create stunning CG content for films and video games. When my previous company needed a fresh website, I stepped forward to design one. This is when I discovered my passion for working with visuals and made the descision to become a digital artist.

I've always loved games and films with epic stories and worlds to lose myself in, but it took me some time to realize that working on games is an actual career option. Since then I've learned a lot about modeling characters in 3D in hopes that I could work on similar epic titles to the ones I've enjoyed playing myself.

Hey there, I have always been strongly attracted to scifi and fantasy, which influenced my design projects in university (industrial design). For my master thesis I worked on a future living concept and then decided to not stick to real life design only but train my skills in visualisation. So I visited the Pixl Visn Arts Academy in Cologne for 15 months and here I am!

I grew up with two artists as parents, so I was always interested in art. and I always was good with computers so I thought I give it a try and started to love it.

I've always been interested in 3D art. Ever since I was a little child I enjoyed watching animated movies or playing video games. At age 13 I started to learn graphic design and during that time I moved more and more into 3D.

I knew I wanted to work in this industry when I saw that it's possible to create ...everything.

When did I realize I wanted to work in the creative industry? Actually, right after school. Oh. Did you expect a touching story about 'how I always dreamed of becoming an artist'? Nah fam, it's literally just 'Hey, school's over. Now, what should I do for a living? Let's work in videogames!' And that's it. Any regrets? Not at all.

I think when I first watched an animated show or cartoon, I wanted to recreate appearing types of characters. I was probably around the age of 4 or 5 when I started drawing and building with LEGOs (as stupid as it sounds) and where my "creative" part of my brain got activated. Since then, up until now I have always been in contact with creative activities. It was when I graduated high-school that I wanted to create art/props in a more professional way, especially in video games.

My whole life I was fascinated about visual stunning films but never thought that it would be possible for me to start a career in this industry. 2 years ago when I first realised that there are Visual-Effects-Schools out there I instantly knew that I want to be a part of something bigger than me and to work in a team to create those moving pictures I was captivated by.

I started out my Journey in mid 2016, when I decided to drop out of Uni because it felt wrong to pursuit that certain direction. I realized I wanted to do the thing I loved doing as kid when I was younger, create worlds.

Since I am young I was fascinated by movies and the creative part of creation. Starting with drawing and sculpting with clay I paved the way to become a professional Character and Texture Artist.

I always loved watching behind-the-scenes footage of movies and games, but the one that got me hooked was "Grounded: The Making of The Last of Us". Seeing how those breathtaking environments were created was and still is really inspiring. After high school, I attended Pixl Visn Media Arts Academy where I studied Modeling, Texturing, Lighting, Animation, Compositing, and Storyboarding. After that, I decided to specialize in Environment Art.

I always had a great passion for both creative and computer-related tasks and dreamed of working in a field combining those two areas since I was a child. What started as a profound interest in web-design and editing at the age of 10 only paved the way to my goal of becoming a professional Character Artist.

I enrolled in University to get a degree in Game Design. During that, we had to take classes on programming and art to be able to communicate ideas better. After three terms we had to choose a secundary focus. I chose game art. During the rest of my degree Concept art started becoming my focus and passion. The deciding factor was while I was working full time for one term, I was exited to get to work every day.

I have been drawing all my life and when I saw that it was possible to study something related to art and games, I knew that this was my dream job. Since then, I've always been working towards this dream, even if it has changed a bit and I found my passion for stylized 3D :) Various games I played had a huge impact on me and influenced my art style. I finished my studies in March 2023 and received my B. Sc. in Game Design & Art from Media Design University for Applied Science in Munich

I started to make my own small games (with gamemaker) back in High School and noticed, that I spend the most time creating/designing the Characters.

3D Artist who likes Hardsurface Modeling and Drawings! Loves Videogames and Art. 5+ Years Experience as a 3D Artist.

I was always fascinated with virtual worlds and how to create them. After watching countless breakdowns and behind the scenes of movies and tv shows i got even more excited about working in the 3D industry. So after a bachelor's degree in virtual- & augmented realities, i decided to pursue this passion and start my journey as a 3D artist!

During my bachelor's degree in game design I had my first expierence with 3DS Max, one led to the other and currently I'm enrolled at PIXL VISN | Media Arts Academy in Cologne, specialising in modeling and texturing.

I realized i wanted to work in the creative media and enternaiment industry when i spend 5 months in London for my internship at an advertising studio. The people i´ve met there and the stuff i have learned was proof to me that this was the right way to go.
