When I was a child, I used to tell everyone that I wanted to be a Doctor. Help peoples and make my parents proud, get a lot of money... But deep down, I knew that what I really wanted to do was creating stories, universes and character that will entertain peoples, inspire them and make them have a fun time... help them in a way. That's why I dropped sciences to become an artist with a passion for telling stories and sciences.
When I enroll in my university I was studying in a Civil Engineer career, I wasn´t doing bad or anything but I wasn´t excelling either. One day my sister takes me to a construction site where I would talk with other engineers in the field, when I was alone in a van checking the designs and the planning I realized that it wasn´t for me. I then decided to change careers for an artistic one where I could learn to draw and 3D Model because a discovered that is where my passion was.
I first realised I wanted to work in creative industries when I was a young boy. I always enjoyed video games and science fiction / fantasy worlds so I wanted to one day create my own. That's why I joined the Game Creative Coding class of e-artsup, so I can one day create my own video games with the world that I imagined.
I realised pretty early that I would go a creative path in life. Since childhood I always occupied myself with drawing when I got a spare moment. This lead to me pursuing artistic education during high school. 3D inspired me to be the most versatile and exiting way to create art and later I went to university and got my graduation in visual effects 3D.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have always loved art. I used to draw and paint: that was my way to express myself. I’m a perfectionist and love being able to create beauty through control and technical skills. So it was natural that I became an Architecture student. In the last few years I realised that i want to create images that tell stories. I believe that behind every light, line, material and form there is an emotion.
Since childhood, movies and video games have captivated me like nothing else. The idea of creating entire worlds and characters has always amazed me, wanting to be a part of it. My passion for 3D art has only intensified over time, founding a natural talent for it, and realizing I wanted to pursue a career in the creative industries. Now with my bachelor's degree under my belt, I am more determined than ever to turn my passion into a successful career and make my childhood dreams a reality.
I first wanted to make games back in the early 1990s after growing up with the original Nintendo and falling in love with video games. Where I live, at that time there was no industry anywhere near me. Small city in the middle of Manitoba, Canada. After spending 16 years in trades I realized what I really wanted to do for a career. So jumping feet first went to school again at age 38 and am now chasing my dream.
I Always drew since I was young and never stopped. But when I was 7, I was always watching my older brother playing video game and started playing with him. At some point I watched a scene in final fantasy X that really amazed . It gave me the chills but at that time and age, I didn't realize that there where actual people doing the work to show such outcome to the public. When I discoverd the artistic jobs behind , I instantly knew I wanted to be a part of it!
3D Artist with a military background, I bring a unique blend of skills and experiences to my craft. Dedicated with a passion for crafting immersive and visually captivating environments and props. Completed Diploma in Game design and development in an immersive studio-centered education that laid a strong foundation in environmental modelling, advanced texturing and lighting, game animation, rigging, level design, compositing and editing.
I always wanted to work in the field of video games, especially characters and story, and I thought that there was no place in my country that taught the field until I discovered that there was a college that teaches game design, so I went to study there and since then I have been improving myself to become a concept artist especially for characters.
I have always wanted to dedicate myself to art, but I never saw how, although I like to draw, it was not for me. One day I thought about the video games I used to play and wondered how they were made. I began to discover all the sectors involved in the development of a video game. Finally, when I saw the art part I knew it was for me.
