My realization of who I want to become in the future started while playing "Spore" in 2009. That was the first time I got a grasp of "3D modeling" while using the creator built in the game. My love for the fact that the game transferred me to a completely new reality and offered almost infinite possibilities for my creativity made me dream about becoming a 3D modeller working in a game industry.
My adventure with game design started in 2020 when I moved from Poland to the Netherlands and started studying at Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen. After a year of learning the basics I found enough courage to start learning 3D modelling.
I have always been interested in character art. My first 3D models were monsters that I created for one of the games we were making for our school assignment.
This model specifically taught me a lot and encouraged me to take part in a competition organized by Riot games to create a model related to the Netflix show "Arcane".
This is were I took a grasp of animation and rendering for the first time as well as started to use Adobe Substance Painter to texture my models.
Those models were made in November 2021. A year has passed and I spend a lot of time to practice and learn throughout this time.
Recently I decided to create a couple of models to challenge myself and see how much I have improved over a year. This is a result of my work:
Making games and contributing to improve them with my models is my greatest passion. It is not only something I do for school. I spend most of my free time practicing my skills and learning techniques to improve as an artist and designer.
I have participated in Game Jams and different competitions and I always try to find a side project that I can work on with my friends to keep advancing.
My and my team's work has been also appreciated by students this year. We won a Student Choice award and were chosen as best game of our school year's Game Lab thank to our project "Melayu" that I made the main character for.
Currently I'm participating in an Erasmus exchange at Oulu University of Applied Sciences and I'm taking part in a Game Lab, where together with my team, we are developing a mobile game "Pass the Gas". The game is published for testing at the Play Store at the moment and we are planning to develop it further, so we can fully release it.
I love character art. Modelling and sculpting brings me joy and I'm very passionate about each model that I work on. I hope that one day I will become a highly skilled professional and I will be able to see my models in best productions ever created.
