Fire Monster

My first attempt at using embergen on my own without a tutorial. I wanted to start with a fun project that allowed me to learn the software while using my knowledge from other software.

Round of applause for our sponsors

I Start to learn Embergen by myself. And for the first thing I want to do, is to create a fire/smoke monster.

In this project I only use my  knowledge in other soft like Phoenix Fd or Houdini to create this. I want to challenge me to create this effect and learn this soft to convince me that I can grow up and become better.

This effect took me two or three days to make.

This is the first result of my effect.

It's not what I really wanted when I started creating it, the smoke at the beginning is too big and too far from the basic shape, but in the end I like how it ends up. It's a first attempt, not really bad and encouraging.

And here's the final result of my effect.

It's now what I originally imagined. The smoke is close to the shape, it has good movement and the fire part adds a good look.

I've also tried adding little embers coming out of the fire to add a bit of detail.

I still have some things to learn in Embergen but starting by creating an effect entirely without following a tutorial allowed me to get to grips with the software quickly.

I hope you like it and I look forward to your feedback :)
