A long time ago, in the 1990s, I dreamt about making video games and went to art school. Life and opportunities were what they are in 2000, and I dropped-off and went into the next best thing, a career in tech. The world then stopped with Covid, and I decided it was finally time to go back to my initial aspirations. 2023 has been for me one of the best year ever for animations, and I realised what I like is actually telling stories no matter the medium.

I've always had a passion for creative media and entertainment, but I think the moment I really realized I wanted to work in this industry was towards the end of my time in high school. That's where I started playing around with a 3D program and from then on I hated myself for not having done it much much earlier.

I’ve always been a big fan of video games and animation films but I started to get really interested in it and think about finding a job in those industries when I was around 14 years old. I started looking on the internet where I could learn 3D and I found out that the SAE Institute Geneva were at the “Salon des métiers” who’s a convention about finding jobs. So I went there and talk with them and that’s how I knew that I wanted to do 3D.

I knew I wanted to work in 3D when I was 12 years old so 10 years ago. I instantly felt in love with the creativity and limitless possibilities. This passion drove me to learn by myself and study at a Game art school.

I started having a strong interest in history very early, along with movies and video games. I felt the need to draw what I read or saw in documentaries, and loved creating real or fictitious universes. I then discovered 3D softwares which were fantastic tools to create what I had in my head. I then decided to make that passion my job, so here I am today!

Shortly after enrolling in the University of Architecture, I discovered Maya - this is how it all began. I started creating my own experimental designs, researching how the power of CG could be applied in design and storytelling. I then got interested in artificial reefs design, age-friendly architectural design, and storytelling for UX, but I always tried linking these with my fascination for the creative media and entertainment industry. I am self-taught in Computer Graphics.

For years I'd been looking for a field in which art could be transmitted in different ways. When I decided to go back to school, I started to look for something more specific, then, i fell in love with 3D. I discovered that the 3D concept existed and that's when I said to myself, "Go for it!" and here I am :)

Many years ago when I started to study architecture at the university I was very interested in learning 3D modeling. Since then it became a hobby to do not only 3d models but also small animations. One day I decided to take a risk and completely change direction in my career. I decided to give my talent a chance and enrolled in a vfx and animation school, PixlVisn. Since then it has been an awesome challenge every day and the dream of belonging to the industry is getting closer and closer.

Hello, I'm Ilenia Di Maria, an Environment Artist with a background in architecture and a deep passion for 3D art. Although I began my 3D career immersed in architectural visualization, I soon realized my desire to tell richer, more interactive stories, leading me to transition into the dynamic world of 3D environment development. It's here that I've found my passion and purpose, crafting immersive digital environments that captivate and inspire.

when I went through an art program where I had the chance to experiment in different art forms. I was always passionate about film and film making but during that time I realised for the first time that animation is a thing I could pursue.

I love to draw... but work and passion aren't the same. Can I assume to transform my art to a job ? Yeah ! I love to creat my own universe BUT !! It's even better to share with other. I can draw for you, you give me a way to live. I want to evolve. Draw different universes or things is the best to understand better where I failed before. I love challenge me and I love meet people. Maybe it's not the best to try become an artist illustrator but it's what I want to be. It's my goa

Je dessine depuis le cycle mais je me suis lancer dans une école d'art numérique ( Les Maîtres du Monde ) à la fin du collège car je voulais améliorer mes talents ainsi que de partager mon art et ma passion.

From a very young age I wanted to train artistically technically. Malaga Art School, Malaga Theater School, Malaga School of Architecture and Animum 3D Malaga School currently.

I wanted to dedicated myself with art when I realized that working in any branch of the mechanical industry, started to became a waste of time... At this point, my motivation for creating content is by far higher than fix machines in someone else's workshop.

Since I was a child I've always had a great interest in everything that was creative. My grandparents had a huge impact on me growing up. In particular my grandfather, a blacksmith who, thanks to his passion for the study of mushrooms, has succeeded, other than to publish numerous scientific studies in more than 50 years of self-taught research, to travel the world and obtain worldwide recognition.

I entered the CGI world pretty late as I first got a degree in Biology and then worked in the Scientific publishing industry - this is only then that I realized how much I missed creating/drawing and switched for a career that would allow me to combine two passions: technology and art!

I've always been passionate about creation in general and particularly drawing. It leads me to discover a game art school where I could learn 3d modeling and I knew from that point that creating for video games was what i wanted to do. Discovering such beautiful and intriguing sceneries and characters trough a story in a video games as always been an inspiration for me and I wanted to be a part of it.

I remember watching Brave and How to Train Your Dragon over a decade ago, stunned by the magic, and thinking "I want to do that someday". University and my first job led me to science and tech, but I always knew art was my true passion. Remembering that feeling, in 2020, I took the plunge and signed up for a VFX and Animation course in Geneva, ready to bring my dreams to life.

I've always wanted to work in the creative industry, but lacked the support to pursue it wholeheartedly. However, I'm now actively working to provide myself with that chance. First by enrolling in a game and VFX animation course in Geneva where I'm gaining the skills I've always wanted to acquire. My ultimate goal is to see my name in the credits of games that transport players to imaginary realms and give them a break from reality, just as games have done for me.

Since I first got my hands on a computer, I immediately started doing editing, videos, design, etc. It became my main point of interest, and I and always tried to learn new things to improve everywhere that I could. I knew I had to work in the visual creation field as an adult. When I first learned about my current school, SAE Institute Geneva, I knew that it was my dream carrer path, and I'm grateful to them for offering this learning cursus.

I realized when I started taking drawing seriously and got interested in 3D. I watched an anime about game design and got interested in the subject, found ressources and wanted to get into a 3D modeling and game art school. After the first year, I decided to choose VFX over Game Art as I found it to best suit me.

When I first saw the Iron Giant as a Kid, I knew I want to create media that entertains and excites people the same way this movie did me.

Since I was a child, I've always had an interest in creative fields. That's why, after mandatory studies, I decided to enroll in an art school. However, traditional art didn't appeal to me, and I discovered the game art industry. So, I joined the SAE Institute in Geneva to find my path.

While my previous studies were very academic, I wanted to reorient myself towards a more creative field that better suited my interests. During my new journey, I had the opportunity to ally these domains and benefit from my diverse knowledge. After three years of studying 3D at SAE Institute Geneva I realized that I wanted to get involved in architectural pipelines and actively contribute to the technological development of the visualisation team.
