Round of applause for our sponsors

I watch a Youtube channel called Corridor Crew religiously, they do VFX and short films while experimenting with the newest technology in the business. Seeing their workspace and their general day-to-day made me realise that I need to surround myself with other creative people to get the most out of life.

At first, I was pursuing a career in engineering, but I had always had a feeling I wanted to do something more creative. Luckily or not when the pandemic started it was next to impossible to find work in what I had studied for, which led to my realization that 3d art was a very achievable and satisfying path I could take.

I start to study for this industrie in February of 2022 with the school of Think Tank Training online.

In high school, when I discovered how games and movies were made, I was just thinking... That kind of job looks awesome! Then with the support of my parents, I started my journey leaving my hometown, and starting a BFA in Animation. In CDMX, I had the opportunity to work in a local studio where I found my passion for Hard Surfaces & Environments. When the adventure in CDMX reached its end, it was time to become a Specialized 3D Artist, for that reason, I enrolled in the online program of TTTC.

When I younger I was interested in the visual effects of shows like Babylon 5 and Battlestar Galactica. Most recently I re-awakened that interest when watching The Mandelorian and all the "making of" episodes. I decided then that I wanted to be a part of that process.

1996 when I first watched the Warcraft 2 cinematics. I entered college in 2001, but game design and game art were not available for me to learn in my location. I made the choice to go with my other interests in technology and and IT career. I realized it again in 2020 after seeing my first model fully rendered in Blender. I've been fully committed to learn and be part of this industry since that point.

I started fine arts but dropped out because I was worried about little job opportunities in my country (spain). After finishing psychology I realized I really want to create for a living even if its hard so I am trying again with all I have.

When I was around 14 years old, my dad gave me an Ipod Mini (the first one with a video camera) as a gift, I started recording myself and playing around with light sabers , and I ask my self "how can I make my lightsaber prop look like a real light saber" so I started looking out for tutorials... 10 years later... Im still learning!

I was working for a marketing company in the Houston area and was assigned a project that needed to be modeled, textured, animated, and rendered to the client's specifications. This was my first time using a 3D application and I was surprised how quickly I took to it. After completing the project the client was blown away by the detail of my work. Ever since I've been pursuing my education to become an animator or modeler. I love this industry and couldn't imagine anything other than this.

Back in primary school, when I was exposed to a wide variety of films and video games I realized that this was a whole new method of unfolding ideas I had in my mind. Being a part of a household that was full of film enthusiasts also helped grow this interest in the VFX field.

I first realized that I wanted to work in the CG industry during my Sophomore year of college. I was struggling to find my way in the academic world. During the near endless studying of chemistry and biology I often found myself wanting to wonder the campus art buildings. Eventually, a grad student in sculpture reached out to me and showed me that there was more to art than just traditional "oil on canvas". My love for 3D simply grew from there.

Currently in my Third Term at Think Tank Training Centre; I love creating assets and enjoy every part of the asset creation pipeline for films. Modeling with Clean topology is my forte, although I find texturing and look dev to be equally interesting. I want to push my assets to fullest extent of what they can be. I love working in 3D as it never feels like there is an end to all the different ways people create things; always something to learn, always someone to learn from.

I graduated as a psychologist from University in 2012. After that, I was working as a psychologist for 1 year. In 2013 I changed my job and became an office worker at a bank. In 2019 I understood that I had to find the job of my dream. I tried programming, design, and painting. In 2020 I realized that my obsession is 3D graphics. I left my job and start to study.

My passion for creating 3D art sparked during my previous job as a UI/UX designer. I noticed the most joy I had in my job was during the creation phase of visual interfaces. I started to use 3D assets in my designs and found a strong interest in how they were created. Along with playing games and spending the majority on creating, fine tuning and styling the characters I played. It was a natural fit to start creating my own and move into a more creative work field!

Hey, I found this amazing world when I was studyng my bachelor, I was studing industrial design, and I decided to take a small course of 3D modeling just in order to improve my comunication skills for my design projects, but I what I found was an entire industry with so many oportunities and projects to work on, since I am a fan of 3d animation productions I just decided to explore it further, and here I am.

I would like to say really early, but that wouldn't be necessarily true. I always flirted with arts while growing up but never got deep into it almost till college. I always liked the idea of working with people or impacting peoples life experiences. So at first I thought about being a doctor, but with time my passion for cinema and games grew stronger. And once I realized, I was already hooked in 3D.

Since I was a kid I knew I wanted to dedicate myself to creating videogames. Only time and my passion for videogames led me to create 3D art.

I caught the bug while growing up watching Steven Spielberg movies.

Playing video games with deeply cinematic stories introduced me to a passion of wanting to create 3D Game Assets and Environments that convey interesting narratives. I hope to bring my design and technical background into Game Environment Art to help create new games and stories that inspire players around the world.
