Terrarium Life

I embarked upon a journey of becoming a 3D artist with experience in Computer Science, Fine art and Graphic Design, but was humbled from day 1 by experts in this challenging craft of VFX that I had zero experience with. At initial view of my final project concept, it spoke to me and I couldn't look back. It depicts a sense of serenity that I long for in this chaotic life we all lead. The concept was intimidating indeed, especially with me being fresh to the 3D world. One major challenge was creating reflections on top of the jar and shadows outside the jar in Maya. After finishing with Maya, I used Photoshop to tie these into the concept. And boy, do I have a newfound appreciation for the 3D work I view! Becoming a 3D artist is a lifelong goal of mine, and with Think Tank, I have found a path to realize this dream.
