Round of applause for our sponsors

I was 13 years old when I did my first "FX", in After Effects CS3. I made a classic energy blast coming out of my hands. It was at this moment that I knew I wanted to work in this field. Now that I'm learning Houdini, I want more than ever to work on a VFX studio.

Since I am young. I always wanted to be an artist. I love creating universes and the freedom of creation. Being able to put thoughts and ideas into images has always fascinated me.

Since I was a little girl I've been playing video games, I've always loved being immersed in this universe and being an art lover, it was normal for me to associate digital with art.

When I realized the world of creative media could give me the opportunity to express myself freely and learn more about people by their art is really cool and motivating. And juste because I tried and fall in love with creative media.

I was 17 years old at the time, everyone wanted to do trade, economy etc. I’ve always played a lot of video games, and I thought, if I like it that much, why not learn to create it. I was born in Morocco, so I told myself that after I got my diploma, I would go to Europe to do studies of video game creation!

When I was a child, I used to tell everyone that I wanted to be a Doctor. Help peoples and make my parents proud, get a lot of money... But deep down, I knew that what I really wanted to do was creating stories, universes and character that will entertain peoples, inspire them and make them have a fun time... help them in a way. That's why I dropped sciences to become an artist with a passion for telling stories and sciences.

I've always drawn and loved art. Pop culture has been a part of me since childhood and I've always been fascinated by it. When I started at HEAJ I fell in love with VFX and their creations, and since then I've been trying to get better at creating them while learning each time.

I Always drew since I was young and never stopped. But when I was 7, I was always watching my older brother playing video game and started playing with him. At some point I watched a scene in final fantasy X that really amazed . It gave me the chills but at that time and age, I didn't realize that there where actual people doing the work to show such outcome to the public. When I discoverd the artistic jobs behind , I instantly knew I wanted to be a part of it!

I realised that I wanted to work in this industry the day I watch King Kong vs. Godzilla, the film had such beautiful FX and it made me want to start learning so I did and now I also love doing 3D environment.

It's been a long time but I could only see by drawing and I refused to use 3D. Then I discovered it 1 and a half years ago and I love it ! I've taken a liking to creating environments on real time engines. My goal would be to become an artist on unreal engine 5.

I've always liked to create. First it was drawing then traditional sculpting. I learned digital painting aswell as video editing and ultimatly got caught into 3D.

I've always wanted to work in something in the Art so I tried a few thing. I tried fashion design but it was not for me. Then I choose to do scenography and audio-visual production. I noticed that what I really like to do is to tell a story and to work on my computer. So I choosed to studying computer grafics.

https://www.artstation.com/danael Hi guys, I'm a huge video games fan and I've always shown some interest in techniques to create them. I've been studying videogames for about 3years now but this is the first year I try to really improve my skills, to surpass everything I've already made before. I have a huge interest in Character Design, especially with Pixologic Zbrush. I love digital sculpt, doing it for school but also during my free time.

I think it was when I was 10. Since this period I always asked myself : " How are they doing all of that ? " and now because of my studies I can finally discover the : "Behind the scene" !

I realized it when I was in my second year of high school, the creative field has always been just a passion or hobby, but I realized that it also could be my job and this is what I want to spend my life for !

I've always been a big fan of Pixar 3D animated movies. Afterwards, while I was studying computer graphics I broadened my vision and I discovered new incredible studios and artists. I also really loved working on my graduating project which was a 3D short animated movie. Loving using the 3D technics and seeing all the amazing projects that are being created in the industry confirmed my decision to work in the creative media and entertainment industry and develop my projects.

I was amazed since I was young by the wonders that this industry created and when I realised that I too could participate in making something of the sort, I jumped on the occasion.

I spent a lot of time on graphic design tutorials when I was young but I did'nt realise that I would do that later. When I first study CGI, I became obsessed by other people's work. I was always and I'm still pushing myself to learn new skills and be able to reach that level of quality.

I started studying photography. It was my first real approach to art in general. It helped me to understand the notions of compositions, lighting, etc. Once graduated, I enrolled at the high school Albert Jacquard where I made my first steps with 3D. I chose the 3D Animation Movie option. I graduated in June 2018, and then took Advanced Modeling classes at AnimSchool with Charles Ellison (Mod Supervisor at Dreamworks). My dream would be to join the industry as 3D Modeler.

I think it was when I was 15. But I started thinking about it seriously when I was 18, when I realized that working in video game industry could be something reachable.

First I dreamed to be a fighter pilot, but due to health issues it was not going to happen. It was not a long ago that I shifted from real planes to 3D ones because I realized I could do much more in the virtual than in the real, going from planes to spaceships. Going from real fights, which are kind of boring, to close and explosive ones.

I've always been interested in CGI, animation and visual effects, but working in the industry seemed like an impossible goal growing up. Few years ago, I realised that I would never been satisfied with my current professional career and I decided to enroll in a school specialised in computer graphics to pursue my goal to become a VFX/CG artist.

In the end of 2019, a few months after i got my first (and current) drawing tablet. I started to pay attention to all the design details on videogames and animated films and i realized people were paid to give their ideas and draw for all those big studios. That's when i realized i could make it my job too, if I'm working hard enough.
