Uncover Hidden Talent: Hire the World’s Top New Digital Artists
As a kid I was always either drawing, watching animated movies, or playing video games, and I got obsessed with Finding Nemo when it first came out. After working my 'regular' job in Japan for three years I knew I had to follow my passion eventually. I went back to (online) school last year and became obsessed with modeling and texturing. Been a happy camper ever since :)
I have worked as a Software Development professional for the past 6 years which gave me a massive technical and management background. During this period I learned that as much as I love new technologies, I have always loved art and creating software solely doesn't fulfill me. I eventually discovered 3D modelling and clay sculpting and fell in love because it gives me perfect balance between technical and creative skills.
I decided I wanted to work in the industry shortly after my high school graduation. I've always wanted to do something creative as a profession but I didn't know what. One day I learned about concept art and knew immediately it was the perfect choice for me. I've been drawing ever since I was a little kid and spent way too many hours playing video games and watching movies while admiring all the beautiful designs.
I was born in 1997 and very early video-games were a part of my life thanks to my Mother, and because of that I've been addicted ever since. I always had an interest in drawing, illustration, animation, design and more, but never considered it a possibility until I found comic books, anime and how my favourite hobby, video-games, got made. Once I started seeing behind the scenes of video-games and the artists behind it, a whole new world was opened and I knew I had to do something on that level.
Since I was very young, I've always been fascinated with animation and video games. Either thanks to the characters or the beautiful worlds inserted in them, my imagination would always run wild and go to many different places. After a while, my never disappearing love for stories and games started differentiating me from others around me. This only confirmed, as I grew older, that what I wanted most was to be involved in either of these fields, no matter how hard I had to work for it.
I started with video editing back in 2016 when I had just graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of my hometown Bergamo. I approached 3D art during early 2019 and fell in love with the craft. Enrolled in CG Spectrum last february and took my Diploma in Foundations in VFX and Game Design last October. I am now sure I want to be part of this incredible industry.
I realized I wanted to work in the industry back in 2016, after leaving the oil industry I wanted to work in something creative and along side other amazing artist. Coming from a small city it was hard to even consider doing what I do now as it was so out of reach at the time. After I moved to the UK things really picked up and I am now on the road, one step at a time towards the end goal.
A few games and films have inspired me, particularly Supergiant Games "Transistor". The story is great, and its artstyle is amazing. I had so much fun playing through it, and looking at all the different environments and art. Blade Runner 2049 was also an inspiration to me, I find it such an intruiging film and its style and art are so rich. More recently, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse was such an enjoyable film, and really renewed my passion for 3D art.
My passion for the creative industries ignited when I first experienced the inspiring magic of visual effects in movies and television shows.like avengers infinty war,end game,x-men and so much more.Witnessing the seamless integration of FX into footage sparked my imagination and fueled my desire to become a part of this innovative field. I was drawn to the idea of using technology to bring FX to life, and I knew from that moment on that I wanted to dedicate myself to the art of VFX.
Since I was a child I loved drawing and creating cardboard 3D models. At the elementary school I used to spend my free time copying illustrations from school books. Since my second year of the middle school i decided I would have joined a school of art, and so it was. Before the end of high school I already knew I wanted to become an architect, so I enrolled at the architecture university in my city. I was during those years that I found out that my interest in 3D models was a real passion.
When I was in the graduation year of the faculty of information and technology my graduation project idea was a 2D game and I wasn't sure that It was going to be an easy task. but then when I worked on it it turned out to be so much fun ! of course developing a game was a dream since childhood but I did not think that I would do it and on my graduation project ! It was hard as a beginner but worth it.
As a child I loved to draw and paint, my favorite things to draw were pokémon trainers, and anime characters. I was introduced to video games as a child, and since I have been a lifelong gamer. As I got older, I came to appreciate video games for the combination of storytelling, art, and interactive experiences. As a creative, I am inspired by this medium, and feel compelled to pursue this passion professionally.
