Uncover Hidden Talent: Hire the World’s Top New Digital Artists
I've always been interested in art and animation/games but was unsure of how to pursue it as a career. I enjoyed drawing landscapes and making game skins as a hobby, and 2 years ago I luckily had the time and resources to start studying with Think Tank Training Centre. I recently completed the Asset Creation program and have experience creating full scenes in both the film and games workflows
I always wanted to do something which is not common in my country, I wanted to stand out and also pursue risky but fulfilling career path. one fine day, when I was playing GTA 5, I was wondering "How can I make these amazing environments that are present in the game", my curiosity piqued, I spent lot of time researching about the industry and dabbled my feet in Blender. I loved and it and decided to become a 3D game Environment artist
Ever since I was little I used to play a lot of games for fun. I was generally into sketching, painting, etc. But when I turned 16, the games I played just mesmerized me with how amazing they look and how they were getting closer and closer to the real world. That's when I realized that I definitely want to be a part of this creative industry.
Slowly throughout secondary school I became aware of the all the work and effort that makes entertainment and creative media possible. After experimenting in my free time with tools and modifications for games I found myself engrossed in the many aspects of creative media. I loved the art others made and now strive to do the same.
Ever since I saw the very first frame of Toy Story, and discovered as a kid that a team of humans made this, I wanted to become part of such a team that makes incredible stuff like that. Due to a series of unfortunate events throughout my life, I never had the chance to even make a move towards becoming a digital artist, until recently. Now I have set my course with only one destination, and one destination only.
So it actually is a funny story, I wanted to join the army, but my father enrolled me in college for a BFA in Digital Animation. I have drawn creatures and characters since I could hold a pencil, I personally never thought of following art as a career path. After going through the first semesters of college I realized that I loved the process of modeling in 3D. That, combined with my love for videogames lead to me choosing my path towards the game industry.
My father introduced me to video games when I was little and I kept enjoying them as I grew up (I still do!). This sparked my early interest in wanting to work on making 3D models. As someone who loves a good story and being immersed into different worlds, it was tough to choose a focus between the video game and film industry; I eventually chose the latter. Becoming skilled enough to create convincing realistic characters and props is my ultimate goal and challenge!
After studying Architecture for a few years, I realized that the development of an idea into a complete computer generated outcome was very rewarding. That got me thinking about what I enjoyed most about life, which is immersing myself into films, TV shows, etc. I came to the conclusion that visual effects was the best profession that would mix my enjoyment of creating CGI and my love for the entertainment industry.
I have always loved everything related to art and 3D design. Although I initially went into interior design, I eventually realized that it wasn't my true passion. After moving to Canada and working as an office coordinator for a video game company, I became passionate about the creativity behind the design and creation of video games. Determined to perfect my skills, I enrolled in the Think Tank Training Center with the aspiration of becoming an environment artist.
I've always wanted to create things for a living. I first realised I want to be a part of the entertainment industry when I was looking for undergraduate courses and automatically gravitated towards filmmaking, animation and VFX courses. I pursued my undergraduate degree at NYU in Film and New Media and a year after graduation realised that I could teach myself how to do all the cool stuff I'm always looking at. Currently, I'm pursuing a short certification at Think Tank Training Centre .
I have always been passionate about art and movies. When I was younger, I wanted to work in an animation studio, such as Pixar. Although I studied Art History at university and followed a different path for a while, I returned to my creative roots years later and studied CG Asset Creation for Film at Think Tank Training Centre. I am looking forward to landing my first role in the 3D industry and working with others to bring compelling stories to life.
