CONTROLLED SHADOWS
For controlled shadows, I went with the method of editing normals.
For this method we need to build in the shape of our required shadows in the topology itself.
Then we have to edit the normals to their respective angles manually.
I have demonstrated this in a youtube shorts over on my channel.
