Round of applause for our sponsors

I started my interest in drawing when I was in elementary school. As I grew up watching Sci-Fi movies and animations, I developed my interest in 3D art. I studied digital media design for two years in Hong Kong. Then I moved to Canada to explore wider options for my career and interest. I took a 3D animation course at Centennial College and settled my main goal in 3D environment art. However, I still do character designs and make concept art from time to time.

I was always generally good at drawing, it was one of the only things that I was naturally drawn to, but I've never really considered it as a career opportunity until I finished high school and started looking around for different kinds of opportunities and what I want to do next. And that's pretty much how I realized that I actually wanted to work in the creative industries.

After working in human service for several years, I realized that I was really missing creativity and innovation in my life! I am now working on moving into a creative industry!

When I was young, I developed an interest in working in the video game industry, and that was my "Aha!" moment. I was enthralled by video games and the vivid worlds they presented. I was intrigued by the deep storylines, stunning graphics, and opportunities for involvement and spent hours exploring virtual worlds. As I got older, I developed a deeper love for gaming and realized the enormous potential it had to entertain, inspire, and unite people on a worldwide basis

Since I can remember, I have been passionate about television, media, and entertainment. I cannot imagine myself doing anything that does not require creativity. At the age of six, I taught myself how to use Movie Maker because I was obsessed with creating a custom animated menu screen for my bootleg DVDs. As time went on, I naturally progressed towards Sony Vegas and Photoshop. By the age of 15, I had absorbed all there was to know about it by watching only YouTube tutorials.

I first wanted to make games back in the early 1990s after growing up with the original Nintendo and falling in love with video games. Where I live, at that time there was no industry anywhere near me. Small city in the middle of Manitoba, Canada. After spending 16 years in trades I realized what I really wanted to do for a career. So jumping feet first went to school again at age 38 and am now chasing my dream.

3D Artist with a military background, I bring a unique blend of skills and experiences to my craft. Dedicated with a passion for crafting immersive and visually captivating environments and props. Completed Diploma in Game design and development in an immersive studio-centered education that laid a strong foundation in environmental modelling, advanced texturing and lighting, game animation, rigging, level design, compositing and editing.

I have always had a passion for sci-fi and fantasy movies/videogames from a young age, and have been pursuing a career since 2017.

I've always had a passion for games and loved to create and design concepts. After some health issues I decided it was time to stop putting that dream aside and start to pursue creating video games. That got me to enroll in Toronto Film School and has put me on the path to help in the founding of a small indie studio and work on our upcoming title!

In early highschool I played with digital sculpting, and last year I started studying it full time, to become a Zbrush character artist.

At first, I was pursuing a career in engineering, but I had always had a feeling I wanted to do something more creative. Luckily or not when the pandemic started it was next to impossible to find work in what I had studied for, which led to my realization that 3d art was a very achievable and satisfying path I could take.

I've always known that I want to create art for as long as I live. The thought of being an artist in the game industry has been with me since early high school and after graduation I decided that it was the route I should take. I've always loved playing video games and making art so pursuing a career in games made the most sense.

I start to study for this industrie in February of 2022 with the school of Think Tank Training online.

When watching the appendices of the lord of the rings movies, I was (and still am) in awe of the concept artists and enamoured with their work. I love games like the legend of zelda, with incredible world building and character design, and games like stardew valley with many different aspects and freedom in how you play (the soundtracks for both examples are also very inspiring)

Growing up I loved drawing; the 2D era of Disney fueled me with the idea of doing what I love as a job, and as technology evolved and I grew up, the will to know-how in the heck Davy Jones from Pirates of the carabiner be real? "They must have a magical button they press to make him move and stuff."-Little me thought. As time passed and I delved into the behind-the-scenes, looking at how a studio of people can bring out of this world ideas to the big screen. And now I want a part in this.

I first realized I wanted to work creating art for video games back in 1999 and enrolled in a college for a Multimedia Diploma. I graduated and took the first job I could and it was graphic design related and did that for 14 years. Since then I've been in and out of different careers. So, I kinda got side tracked for many years but I am now lazer focused!

Ever since I was a kid, but I'd end up doubting that thought throughout high school and university as the pressure of real life responsibilities and the high expectations of family members. When I entered a college after graduating university with no skills or job prospects, and actually learned about 3D modelling, I knew I really did want to do this.

I've always wanted to do something creative, I wanted to do illustrations for comics and books, then After graduating high school I got into digital art, there my interests moved over towards 3D art.

When I was a junior high school student, I thought I wanted to work at film industry.

When I was 8 years old, I watched Monsters Inc. I've already watched Toy Story, when I was 6 years old and it was my favorite movie in that point, but with Monsters Inc. was different, I was amazed of how everything looked, the textures and the models, I wanted to know how it was created. I started playing video games, I love video games and I felt the same, I wanted to know how they were created and I realized that I wanted to create something amazing in the future.

I think my journet began when one of my aunts bought me a lego set as a gift and when my mother gave me a Nintendo 64 with Super Mario 64 as a birthday present. I've always liked to build things, from lego sets to model kits and the 3D world offered me a new whole world of new tools to build whatever I have on mind. So here I am, on a journey to make a living from my passion.
