Round of applause for our sponsors

I first realised that I wanted to work in the creative media industry while I was completing my research project in high school. My topic question was, "In what ways has the advancement in CGI impacted the film industry?". Before doing any of my research I didn't have any knowledge of CG or how it was done, yet I was very intrigued and enticed by the world of VFX and I was already in love with games. The more research I did, the more I realised that I wanted to be a 3D artist.

I studied architecture for a while but eventually left and found out about concept art in learning to draw as a hobby. I just started getting more involved, and eventually I decided to go all in. Now it's my life.

I dreamt of working in the entertainment industry as a kid all the way back when I was playing my Super Nintendo. Although, it would be many years later that I would recognize my dreams could become a reality and that my hobby could become a profession. I truly put my head down and started to apply myself when I started my formal education. I have worked long and hard to get to where my skill level is at now, and I look forward to pushing myself harder every day to try my best myself.

My name is Alex and I am an aspiring 3D/texture artist. From a young age, I was fascinated with digital art/design, wanting to know more about it and how it was created. At the start, I focused more on video editing and motion graphics more than anything else. However, I ended up coming across Autodesk Maya and wanted to know more, thus starting the plunge into visual effects and 3D.

I started committing to an artistic path when I was in my last year of High School. I had worked on my art on the side outside of school and taught myself the fundamentals of digital illustration. I eventually wanted to branch out my skillset so I enrolled into animation school. I also have a social media account with 30K+ followers in which I post work, sell prints and stickers as well as work on commissions.

I first watched Star Wars at a very young age and fell in love with it immediately. Growing up watching so many other films and playing a ton of video games strengthened my desire to get into the entertainment industry in some capacity. I always had a real desire to work in a creative field, so I focused on art throughout my time in school. In college I began exploring animation, but eventually transitioned into game art after falling in love with the 3D art process.

I first realised that I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry when I was in high school. I knew I wanted a career that involved a creative element, thus I took part in a 3D Fundamentals and a Graphic design VET course. I soon realised that I loved to recreate objects in 3D, thus wanted to find a path into the creative media and entertainment industry. I believe that film will be the best pathway as it excites me and no matter how small the model, it may be seen by many.

Games have always been a great passion of mine, I attended a graphic design school in Italy, I knew I wanted to continue my studies and go to a University, so I decided to try and combine my passion of Video Games and Design.

In 2017 I decided to watch the entire Harry Potter saga again after many years of not watching it. From that moment, as if by magic, memories and emotions awakened in me that led me to love cinema in its entirety and, more specifically, the visual effects sector. So I decided to pursue this path...

Growing up and watching my siblings draw always inspired me.

I was 9 and a science fair, Ipad camera app told me that my toys could be movies! I haven't stopped.

I have been interested in art and creatives since I could hold a pen, but I first discovered the joys of animation when I was 11 and have been learning how to animate by myself since then. I am currently in my second year of university at Escape Studios where I have decided to study 2D animation, after years of self learned animation I have been eager to learn from professionals and learn the ropes in industry standard software.

Having previously worked as an industrial designer and model maker for many years, I realized that my true calling was in the video game industry; the passion for this industry has followed me since I was a kid, so much so that I took the leap and started this new exciting path.

For most of my life I've loved the idea of creating media for other people to enjoy, so this seemed like a natural direction for me to head in! Also as a man who has loved video games for over 15 years, I'm very happy with the path I have chosen!

Hi!I am a concept artist of the environment, currently studying at the FungiStudio online school. My YouTube and TikTok-MargaritaLukuts

I first realised I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry when I was in high school. I was interested in the industry as I figured it would be a good way to get a job in art. The industry is honestly quite scary, I am so impressed and intimidated at the same time. I realise that I am going to have to work and practise as much as possible to get a job in something I love doing

From a young age I was pretty obsessed with cars and trains, and I've been drawing them for about as long as I can remember. This interest in mechanical designs sparked my interest in concept art. Through high school I had my heart set on becoming an automotive designer, but as my tastes and hobbies grew, I just figured I had a better appreciation for film and games, and would find that world more fulfilling.

I've always wanted to create video games, they are the reason of my journey.

In the middle of my previous creative arts course at the Adelaide Central School of Art, I realized I had more passion in the entertainment industry, felt that my work would be more appreciated and that I would have more to offer. After finishing my associate degree at the ACSA, I decided to continue my journey as an aspiring artist at CDW Studios, while doing personal passion projects and commissions in my spare time.

I have always been interested in the video game industry, but coming from a small city in Brazil, I didn't have many opportunities to explore a career in this field. After coming to Montreal, I started taking classes in Concept Art and decided to give it my all.

When I was in secondary school doing my GCSE'S, I had taken Graphics. I really enjoyed the time I was in class and from there I wanted to work in the creative media industry.
