From very young, always striving for something environment based. Initially starting as a keen interest in architecture and historical buildings, eventually developed into creating and pursuing 3D Environment art for games. I've always been able to get lost in expansive worlds, or explore every little detail in linear environments, and want to do my part to help build these story rich worlds.

I realised when I was in college as I've always had a fascination for games, even from my childhood. I always thought that the environment art in games was always amazing, and I wanted to follow this path to become a 3D modeller to gain access to the games industry.

Back in 2017. I'd been stuck in dead-end retail jobs for so long and knew that's not where I wanted to be, but didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. I went back to college as they were doing a game development course. I got to sample a bit of everything and loved every aspect of it. I then went onto university to specialise in games art and followed the character art path. I also did work experience at Codemasters as an audio intern and knew working in a studio was where I wanted to be.

In my first year of secondary school, I was extremely into drawing and video games. At that point, I started looking into different courses and schools that taught specific classes that would help me develop skills to study at university.

I have always been interested in Creative Media and Arts, I am an Environment Artist currently in my final year at Staffordshire University studying Computer Games Design (BSc). With a background in Fine Art; working in photography and film, my studies at Staffordshire University have allowed me to adapt and transfer my skills into my 3D practice, learning and creating game-ready environments.

When I first applied for University I was initially turned away for not having an Art background back in 2017, after going to college an extra year I realised that it fuelled my passion to get into the industry by not giving up! While approaching the end of my Higher education I still feel like there is much more I want to learn!

Ever since I left school. At the time I was deterred from pursuing it as a career, but it’s always been a desire of mine to be a part of the process of making games. Five years ago i decided to scratch that itch, studying part time around my full time job

I was a Pure Science Stream student in high school but after I graduated, I realised that I have had enough of memorising books and vomiting the information out onto the exam paper, only to forget everything the next day. I wanted to do something more hands-on, so I chose game development

I have always had a hobbyist interest in making games but about 6 years ago I realised that I could make games professionally.

From a very young age I've always want to work in games. In school when I realised this was a possibility it has been my one goal for a career.

I've always had a passion for games and have always had the dream since I was very young of working on games as a graphic designer. When I was leaving school I found a college near me that did a games design course so I decided to go there and it is there that I found my passion for 3D modelling. I then went to University to further learn more and develop my skills in the hopes that I will become a qualified 3D artist capable of working in the games industry.

I have loved games since I first played jurassic park warpath, on the play station 1 over 20 years ago, my dedication then continued into Pokemon and I haven't stopped playing since. I didn't think there was a career in it originally but when I saw the cinematic for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, I thought that it would be awesome to be able to do that as a job so went to uni.

I have always had a creative mind, so I knew I wanted to achieve something creative but I was unsure what path to choose. When I discovered a course called Interactive Games Design and learnt about each role in making a game, I knew I wanted to increase my skill in animation and to bring life to each character I animate.

I have had an interest in designing my own characters for at least 5 or 6 years now. One of my hobbies at the time was playing video games so I thought why not try to learn how to make them. I very quickly gained a passion for learning as much as I could about games art and development when I attended my local college. After college, I progressed to Staffordshire University to hone my skills as a character artist. I have almost finished my final year there and am now looking for employment.

I have always been attracted by digital graphics, whenever is 2d or 3d digital art they appear to be enhanced to my eyes. During my life I firstly carried on self-taught studies with traditional drawing, then digital paintings, and lately moved to academic studies for 3d digital sculpt and game ready assets. Love fantasy, creatures, magical stuff.

In college. I had done a IT course (lvl 2) and then AS levels, one of the AS levels was media studies. There's just something about working with software and computers that's always clicked with me. So I decided to go to another college and study level 3 IT. There I found out about Games Development courses, as soon as I heard it was a thing I wanted in. 2 years of Games Development then off to University, this is where I discovered animation and fell in love with my work.

I enjoyed watching shows about people trapped in games and wanted to make the worlds that had entertained me so much and then I started to learn about the process of making art assets and scenes and fell in love with it.

I initial began looking to get into a creative industry during my time in the British Army, as an Officer, military leadership was always very stressful. I had always been a fan of video games and used them as an escape and a way to unwind. As I played I began to get an interest beyond the games themselves and on to the art of games. I decided then to train in 3D environment art and for the last 4 years I have been learning and honing my skills.

Since I was young a had large interest in creating images, banners, and avatars for various applications. This soon grew into the Visual Effects industry

I first realised that I wanted to work with visual effects when I watched "The Hobbit Desolation of Smaug" in cinema and saw the level of detail that was given to the character Smaug

I was studying games design at college and got taught about both the VFX industry, this instantly clicked with me as I am generally a creative person and from there I went to university to study CGI & VFX and further my understanding of the industry.

I’ve always had a passion for games ever since me and my brother had our first GameBoys and our N64. Once I got to high school and college I found myself looking at games in a more technical stand point of ideas which could improve them. I started at college by joining the Computer Games Development course and my journey has gone from there.

I first realised that I wanted to go into the industry when I really got into games at a young age, having fun with them and enjoying what other people had made but it wasn't until later when I found out that I wanted to take more of a professional route into the industry when I was looking for what I wanted to study at collage.
