At the end of the bachelor's degree (18) I did a final work that consisted of recreating a very emblematic building of my village in 3D. There I really discovered the world of 3D. The only economically viable school offer with 3D that I found in barcelona was higher studies of video production and multimedia. With these studies I found a job as a video technician, cameraman and video editor. But after more than 3 years i decided to recover what I really liked and enrolled in Animum 3D School's.

I've always knew that my dream career was in art. I had always worked in 2D, doing graphic design, drawing, and photography. Around 6 years ago I took the plunge into 3D game art and I've been pursuing a career as an environment artist ever since.

Starting college I thought long and hard about what I've always wanted to do since I was a kid, and that was to make video games. After transferring to the Savannah College of Art and Design, I have learned that I have a burning passion for what I do as an Environment Artist and I am always striving to reach new heights with my work.

Honestly, I have been playing video games for over 15 years since I was a kid. Especially, I really like AAA games because the AAA games stand for high-quality graphics and gameplay, which gave me a lot of inspiration and ideas to create awesome environments on my own. Therefore, my true interest is game art.

While in high school, In the 10th grade I decided to take a 180* turn from studying bio-chemistry, in my preparation to enter med school, to this adventure. Never has been a day the same, literally. It started as a hobby and an escape from all the non sense real world had to offer and it just grew and grew. I still don't know what I'm doing, but I know where I am going. I'm going big I can tell you that.

My parents both work in the creative field and after doing poorly with traditional education they suggested I try a creative career. I never considered a career in Art but thanks to them I've found what I'm passionate about I'm grateful every day for their support.

I'm always pasisonate about creating arts and drawing, the path is clear that i will be taking creativity route. In mid of 2013, I fell in love with a Naughty Dog's video game "The Last of us", I was so amazed by the environment and the storytelling they're able to offer, and luckily I had the chance to see the art book of it, at that point i knew this is something i would love to do in the future, since then developed my love and passion towards conceptual or entertainment arts.

The main reason that made me jump into this field were movies. The first movie that affected me was "Avatar." The mystery forest from the movie was fascinating and kept me surprised. The second one was "Iron Man" series. The most impressive thing was Stark's various ways to wear his Iron man suits. I loved every detail from the movies. Watching movies has been my favorite thing, and I want to experience how movies are made in the future.

When I was young I dreamed of becoming a professional artist, but deep down I thought that art could only ever be my hobby. After a few years working in a non-creative field, I decided to go in a different direction and returned to my original plan of becoming a professional artist! I taught myself 3D art from a combination of different online resources, and while I'm not in the industry yet, I like to think I'm on my way. I aim to create compelling game characters and props that tell a story.

When I was young, I used to make small status of the characters from my imagination with clays or paper boxes. To be honest, I didn't have any interest in studying and getting good grades. The only thing that I was interested in was making characters from games or animations with any material that I could use near me. I loved to create things and still I feel the same. The reason why I want to be part of creative industry is I want to dedicate my life for what I love to do.

After competing my Fine arts degree I met a friend who inspired me to become a concept artist. I then decided that I wanted to bring my understanding of the fundamentals of art into the digital world. Taking my skill set into a digital realm was challenging, however, with hard work and determination I have been successful in creating a process I believe will benefit a production pipeline.

I first realized that I wanted to work in the CG industry during my Sophomore year of college. I was struggling to find my way in the academic world. During the near endless studying of chemistry and biology I often found myself wanting to wonder the campus art buildings. Eventually, a grad student in sculpture reached out to me and showed me that there was more to art than just traditional "oil on canvas". My love for 3D simply grew from there.

United States | Gnomon School of VFX, Games, and Animation

Art always played a big role in my life. The early Walt Disney Movies inspired my childhood and influenced my creativity. The creative process of bringing a story to life by creating new worlds and characters is the main reason why I am fascinated by 3D. When I graduated from High School back home in Switzerland I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in Art. I am currently studying at the Gnomon School of VFX and focusing on modeling and texturing.
