Uncover Hidden Talent: Hire the World’s Top New Digital Artists
I've been a fan of video games for as long as I can remember. In 2019, I realized that I wanted to work in this industry and bring some of the amazing worlds I've explored to life myself. Since then, I've been working hard to improve my skills in 3D modeling, texturing, and level design. I'm always looking for ways to learn and grow as an artist, and I'm excited to see where this passion takes me.
- When I started studying at the Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam (Media and design) I wasn't too sure on what to really focus on regarding developing artistic skills. However after playing around with 3D in Cinema 4D I quickly fell in love with it. It openend up a new world of posabilities for me. After learning a bit about 3D during my time at the GLR I got the opportunity to do an internship for 9 months at Vertigo Games.
I have been drawing since I was a young girl. After I finished highschool, I enrolled in art school where I obtained my first bachelors degree in fine arts. After graduation, I realized I wanted to keep studying and went to Howest DAE to study game design . Wanting to work as an artist did not come to me as a sudden realisation, it just happened naturally. I simply don't see myself do anything else rather than make art for the rest of my life. It's the one thing that's always been with me.
As soon as I learned how to read, I would spend countless hours reading vintage comics stored away in my grandparents' house. However, as much as I was fascinated by these works, the moment I learned about the possibility of giving life to these characters and stories, I knew I just had to work in the animation industry.
Since i was a child I've been interested in videogames, cartoons, comics and developed a real love for cinematography during adulthood. Growing up i studied Graphic Design and dabbled in Photography. Eventually got into 3D with Blender and from there made the jump into Unreal Engine. Getting to work as a creative has always felt like the most natural path for me.
Storytelling is my passion. I have many stories to tell. I can play an entire original movie in my head if I wish. But these stories will never become real, will never be enjoyed by other people, until I act on it and learn how to actually create them. Art, Animation, Programming, these are all tools I have to learn to be able to accomplish my creative visions, and inspire others with my stories.
I started doing 3d art in college and very quickly got hooked on Unreal engine and environment art. I particularly love using architecture as my subject and really enjoy creating PBR materials in substance designer. I am currently in my third year of 3D visual arts at Breda university, where i specialize in real-time environment art.
When I was a kid, I used to play MMORPG games which gave me a lot of inspiration to make my own "games". Since I had no idea how to make actual games back then, I would simply draw out a map/world on paper and draw items and monsters in it. The player would just use their finger as a pawn to move around in this world. Then one day I learned that 3D modeling software and game engines were a thing, so I didn't hesitate to try them out and maybe make a real game someday.
From the moment I started attending middle / high school (12~ years old) I already looked forward to attending the Mediacollege in Amsterdam to study Game Art, after that I decided that really what I wanted is to make (animated) films, so I applied to the Netherlands Film Academy and luckily made the cut, I'm currently in the second half of my second year.
