Round of applause for our sponsors

I first realised that I wanted to work in the creative industries when I recieved praises and acknowledgment for my art works, as narcisstic as it sounds it made me feel good about my work and what I was doing. Along the way I knew it was something I could want to do in the future and then I found myself deep into the Animation world. There I always wanted to create a world that can move away from real life. Bringing out the images, visuals and environments in my head into the real world.

I realised I wanted to pursue a creative career during high school when art was the subject I enjoyed most. This combined with my love for games for as long as I can remember have have led me to study game art at college and now in university.

Drawing has been my main form of creative expression for many years and I continue to develop it daily; from character designing and concept art to 2D animation. I also have a passion for storytelling and film making which has been built from many hours spent watching films, TV shows, playing games, reading books and graphic novels. By combining these skills I create a variety of animations, illustrations and short films so I can turn my passion into a career.

I first realized during my 4-year college course on Animation that I was passionate about creating. Manifesting brand new concepts for characters, creatures, environments and equipment. Since then I've been determined to create concepts that contain gorgeous form and function with efficient synergy.

Although since my childhood I loved drawing I started to focus on learning art skills in high school. I used to be in a really academic focused environment but I eventually decided I would want to work in the creative field.

As a 3D art generalist with skills in asset creation and environment art , I strive to learn new skills and techniques to create unique work through using Maya , Zbrush and Substance Painter. I also enjoy bringing original perspectives on projects that inspire change . I look forward to being able to bring fresh ideas to future industry opportunities .

As a child, I expressed my creativity through painting and pottery, and my dream was to become a fashion designer. During my high school years, my interest in video games grew, and I enjoyed creating Sims with unique backstories, appearances, and outfits. Eventually, I pursued a game art degree program, which fueled my passion for 3D modelling. Now, I have discovered my love for designing characters with diverse backgrounds and aesthetics to empower stories.

I had spent four years studying Film & TV at college which peaked my interest in the creative entertainment industry. After deciding I wanted to attend university, I looked for film courses but instead fell in love with the idea of studying VFX.

During the first year of my A-Levels. I knew that the subjects I had chosen were not the direction I wanted to go in life. After opening Blender and learning the basics, I knew immediately that was the direction I wanted to go.

In 2019, I started feeling a little lost. Stuck in retail work, I thought to myself that this can't be all I'm meant to do with my life. I watched an episode VFX artists react with special guest, Blender Guru. When I heard that Blender, a software that could make stunning visuals was completely free, I felt like I had nothing to lose and started my 3D journey. Now I am currently studying Visual Effects in Uni, I feel more confident in striving towards a career that I can be happy with.

Ive played video games for many years, after a while it I became interested on just how they were made. When I made it to college the question was answered in a sense went I was made aware of a the course "Digital Art, Animation & Game Design". A course that took me through a basic premise of what goes into making games, but didnt allow me to actually experiment with Game Engines during the course. Now I study at NUA doing Indie Development, using blueprints in UE5.

I first realised that I wanted to work within the games industry during 2019 when I taught myself 3D modelling in Blender

During my time in College where I was studying Art, I was initially interested in 2D animation, however, another student introduced me to 3D software and I was immediately interested in how many different things I could create. I have always had a love for film however, I never thought of it as a career until I started to learn 3D software.

The love of video games I had made me realise my goals and passions. Hopefully I can have it be part of my future.

I first realised I wanted to work in the creative industry when I studied Media at GCSE. Having said this, I hadn't realised that games were an option until my mum pointed out whilst looking at unis! Since then, I've been working hard on my concept and media skills to get into the games industry.

Early on in my life, I have had an interest in digital storytelling either through movies, animations or games. These mediums have had a huge influence on my life however despite loving traditional art and wanting to be able to create something that can reach a wider audience I didn't confirm my dream in this field until my last year of college which with the inspiration of YouTubers Corridor Crew and Markiplier (from his creative projects) I solidified my goals for this industry.

I grew up in a household full of storytelling. Books ,film, oral narrative of the human conditions and our relationship is to each other and the universe around us. This led to an obsession of Narratology ,anthropology and philosophy. As a small 3 child with asperger's I was drawn stylised animations throughout my life this has grown into a love and passion for filmmaking shaped by: Wes Anderson Neil Gayman, aardman animation and Alex Hirsch. The reflection of the human condition in art.

I First realised I wanted to get into the creative media industry, was when I was introduced to stop motion animations and the processes and hard work that goes into getting all the little details perfect within the scene to develop such a lively final shot. pushing this idea further playing through, the 2000s version of Spyro year of the dragon on the Ps2 gave me that fire to work within this category of the creative media industry, these two elements as well as many others gave me my spark.

Like many others, I grew up loving videogames. To later learn people have full careers in making things for them? Madness. I was hooked.

I have always loved playing games, but wanting to work in the industry came about at a young age when I began to come up with game concept. My passionate for 3D came about due to my interest in natural and man made environments/architecture.

At around the age of 16, I started to develop a keen interest in architecture and light which led me to enrol at the Oxford School of Architecture. After a year, I decided to find a better fit for my interests, which led me to find visual effects.
