NeoTokyo: ArtStation challenge

A 10 day project for the ArtStation challenge, creating three prop designs and detailing them in a turnaround. The theme was Neo Tokyo so I focused on a cyberpunk, sci-fi aesthetic - looking at day-to-day items or uses in a city.

For the NEOTokyo challenge on ArtStation, I entered the prop challenge. Due to when I joined, I only had 10 days to complete the whole process, but it was a brilliant time of frantically drawing on trains, squeezing in sketches wherever I could and feeling incredibly relieved and proud of myself once I hit "submit!"

Here are some moodboards I created using Pinterest and PureRef to influence my designs. Having a moodboard with notes is super important to me so that I can keep on track for what I want to create and stay on theme.

The processes of each piece, looking at their concept stages with silhouettes and iterations. This stage is always so much fun to me as I can explore lots of options and Frankenstein them together to get the best ideas I can.

For this process, I knew I needed to work fast with only 10 days - so I hopped into Blender to blockout models so I could use them for more detailed turnarounds - which was especially important for the food truck as there were many important details to include.
