I love working on stylised game art, I'm particulary interested in 3D environments mostly using my own concepts to create original scenes. I keep exploring new techniques and learning every day

I found my love of art during high school and I knew then that I wanted to work within that field. I have been lucky to discover that I really enjoy 3d character art during my time at University and I want to learn more about this area and improve upon my own character modelling techniques.

My story is much like everyone else who pursues a joyous career in arts & media (though more specifically for me is Concept Art in games), it comes from the need to express ourselves visually and creatively, which started when I was a child. Back then I had an affection for both drawing and growing up playing on retro game consoles with my brother, and with age slowly came the wisdom to pursue a career that combined both.

I realised I wanted to work in film and games when I was very young, maybe about 14/15. I had watched the first Thor movie, and when I saw the concept designs and different ideas created just for the costumes, I knew I wanted to do that! I was already doing art and tracing my favourite Disney characters, but it was once I realised my interest that I really began to take art seriously!

I knew since I was young, I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry, but only in the past few years I've focused on getting into the game industry. Since figuring that out I've been focusing on my concept art skills and creating ideas.

I find Games fascinatingly fun and love their immersion and the fact the sky is the limit in terms of creativity. I am currently a 3rd year student in Abertay University specializing in Game art i have a particular interest in creating all different types of environments and i love creating my own textures to use within these environments i find this process fascinating and incredibly fun.

When I was younger I was fascinated by animation, film and games. I wanted to create things that brought the same joy to others. When I was 12 I started to program wee silly games on my own for fun using pre made assets, as well as creating 3D animatied videos for fun. Since attending Abertay I’ve found a love for working on 2D Animations, I’m currently in my third year at Abertay and am specialising in the animation stream of the computer arts course.

I have worked in the creative field most of my life, first as a jeweller and then as a props and prosthetics artist. I have always had a love of film effects and I started to dabble in 3D modelling a few years ago. This led to a degree in computer arts where I discovered I wanted to create immersive story worlds and virtual experiences.

I am a UI/UX designer and illustrator currently enrolled at Abertay University.

As a kid I always wanted to make games because I played them day in, day out. But I didn't know it was an actual job path until later in life, since leaving secondary school I've been on my journey to working in the industry.

Always toyed with the idea, but never knew it was an actual option until last year of high school. At the time, i still had in mind of ending up attending to an Engineering or Architecture degree. But as i am guessing most people started of, one day randomly found some video or post, which took me to another one, and have been learning ever since.

I decided to study Computer Arts because in high school my two favourite subjects were Computing and Art, so it seemed logical to stick the two together. I also loved playing games, and after getting a taste of game art I quickly realised I enjoyed making games just as much as playing them.

From a young age, I was always fascinated by video game worlds. I would find myself exploring and getting lost within them, taking in and analysing all the little details. This fascination combined with my love for art and design has led me on my journey to create my own 3D environments and to one day have a career in the gaming industry.

I have always had a love of game and film concept art , but as a teenager I didn't pursue this interest and became an archaeologist. In recent years I have had a yearning to create more and more, learning digital painting skills and dabbling in 3D modelling. Through these explorations, I rediscovered my love for game art and creation, leaving my job as an archaeologist in 2020 and enrolling in Computer Arts at Abertay University, where I have discovered my love for 3D environment creation.

I always played video games as a child and loved exploring the details of world building and setting. I thrived creatively in highschool and always knew I wanted to pursue something within the arts, so for my higher education I combined both my love of art and games.

I realised that i wanted to join the industry back during high school. I have a passion for the creative arts and so i decided to apply for college to further pursue that dream. I was able to pull through college and attend my dream university where i honed and developed my skills further, and had a blast doing so!

I realised at a very young age my passions lied in a creative field. I would often watch movies and play video games with my older brothers. Some of my favourite memories are a result of these types of media and so it became my dream as a kid to be a part of the magic of creating work within a creative industry.

When I was 12 my brother would temporarily attend university to study 3d animation. This tied in with the release of one of my favourite games Dishonored resulted in garnering interest in game development.

I first realised I could work in creative media Sometime in 1st year of high school, when I realised how much I enjoyed art, but the full drive came a year later when I discovered Blender

When I was younger, I have always been creative. I had interests in photography, music, film editing and also game making. I began to take a real interest in creating games after playing LittleBigPlanet and Minecraft, which ignited my interest in creating. Through taking part in competitions like the YoYoGames game competition, Game Jams, and so on, I began to love creating artwork for games, thus influencing my decision to study at Abertay and pursue a career in the games industry.

I first learned in 2016 when I started my course in 3d Animation at city of Glasgow college. The course just instantly felt natural to me and i just seem to move a bit faster than my peers.

From the age of four, my siblings and I were obsessed with an old Sega Megadrive console we shared. Even back then I was just enamoured with the characters and immediately began designing my own for fun. Towards my final years of high school I realised that I could make a viable career by designing and creating game characters so everything kind of came full circle in my mind.

It's hard to say when I first realized it, cause telling stories and creating art has always been a part of how I am, and video games were such a big part of my childhood that a career goal in the games industry came naturally to me.
