Round of applause for our sponsors

I first watched Pixar's Finding Nemo on DVD. The itself movie blew me away with its appealing characters, amazing environments and animation. When I watched the behind-the-scenes special features I was awed by the sheer artistry and work involved in bringing a fictional animated character like Nemo to life. It was my first insight into the creative industry of film and animation, and from then on, I knew I wanted to work in animation.

Ever since I was little I would always watch cartoons or play with my Nintendo DS or PS 2. I never noticed just how much I enjoyed these types of entertainment until I watched Tin Tin Secret of The Unicorn in 2011 and was thinking of joining the industry in the future. However, I doubted the decision of joining and even started questioning my choices after getting accepted in a public university. Eventually, I finally built up the courage to make my own decisions and join the industry!

I wanted to be in the creative media industry since I was 7 - how I would take any chance I had to draw on any piece of paper around me! Although my teachers always scolded me for drawing on my exam papers, it never discouraged my passion in creating something. I continued and developed the dream of being in this industry and started went to art classes. From there I always I wanted to have a career that involved using creativity because it made me happy and drove me to continue improving.

When Maya crashed on me the first time.

I realised I wanted to be an artist when i was in high school. I always loved to draw but i only thought of it as a hobby. As i was asked to choose an orientation, I thought : "If I need to wake up and go to work everyday, I'd rather do it with a smile. It doesn't matter if I don't earn a lot of money... I just want to be happy." And even though my parents weren't supportive of my projects, I applied for 3Dsense media school and had the most wonderful year of my life.

My journey began in 2008 when I started working as a producer in TV broadcasting area. I admired by teams that created opening titles for TV shows and movies using their imagination and software skills. I was so exited to see how designers put together 2D or 3D worlds. A couple years ago I quit my job and started learning motion design.

Since I was kid, I grew up with tons of video games, but never thought that art can be a profession. I love art and science the most in my study, then I took Architecture degree. While at same time I watched a lot of CG videos and do self-taught about game development . Since 2015, that was on the 2nd year of my architecture degree study, I kept following my passion in this industry and this has already changed my mind.

Since I was little around the age of 4, I have an interest in art. When I was exposed to the digital world, I found myself enjoying games and films and wanted to be part of the entertainment industry. I wanted to bring fun and joy to those around me just like how the entertainment industry did for me.

I started to love 3D arts when i was in my second year of my studies at Nanyang Polytechnic. Found my passion for 3D modelling and have been sculpting and modelling since. After which I studied Digital Game Art at 3Dsense Media School. As I learnt many things from the course, I took on 3DSense Digital Film Production Advance Diploma, learning how to make look dev characters. Just graduated, and am looking to start work in this CG industry.

Probably around Junior High School when I noticed that I loved doing design work for school projects, events, etc. I have a few friends who are equally or even more passionate than I am. That really helped me in deciding on what to do after graduating high school.

Growing up, I have always been interested in visual arts. I’ve enjoyed taking a closer look at the art pieces that caught my eye, seeing the details up close, thinking about the process they went through, and the techniques they employed to create it. This led me to enter design school and to continue in the same line as I progressed to the workforce.

I realized at a very young age when I began staring at artwork that were used in games and such. I'd often zoom it to look at the details and try my best at the time to understand how it worked. I started my art journey at a very young age, and upon receiving my first tablet at 12 years old, my resolve to go into this industry further solidified over time. It was only at a later age when I quickly grew interested in the 3D aspect of game production.

Since I was in school I have always had interest in studying video making related. Motion design has started to become popular lately and I love how impressive all these videos are, so I started learning it in 2022. It was hard for me at first, but those difficulties have motivated me more and more everyday.

It was a gradual realization after studying arts throughout the years that made me realized I wanted to work in the entertainment industry. Art has always been a huge part of my life and childhood as I grew up doing a lot of drawing and painting, in the years when smart devices aren't a thing. I would draw comics and show it to people around me and it would make them laugh. That's when I realized I would want to create works that entertain and reach people emotionally.

I always liked animated movies and shows. This interest led me to start drawing on my own, creating small stories and characters. As time went on, during my last years of secondary school, I decided to study for this industry. Without the support of my parents, I would not have pursued this career.

It started when I was working as a Line Producer for a local photography studio, which then spurred my curiosity in wanting to learn the various techniques and tools of the trade.

Around 2 years ago, I got my first drawing tablet after getting some money from graphic design commissions on Twitter. Although I have been drawing and creating art off and on for my whole life, I never took it seriously until then. After exploring more about what art meant to me using digital mediums while juggling business school, I realized that telling stories and having people connect with my ideas through my art was what was more important to me. I now want to pursue a concept art career.

I have always been interested in game art ever since I played pc games. But in my 2nd year of engineering I decided I'll be pursuing this as my career

When I was in High School. I realized how much I wanted to focus in art. Especially in 3D animation

I have always been an avid gamer as a child and have been greatly interested in their production since. For the last 7 years i have spent most of my time, education and sweat honing my craft to make my childhood dream a reality.

I started drawing when I was around 12 years old, and I have always been a fan of videogames and animated shows. So when I realized that I could have a chance of working in creating those same things I admire in the stories I loved. I took it as a personal challenge. To prove to myself that my determination can make those goals into reality. And so I started drawing daily as a 16 years old guy with a big dream that doesnt know when to give up. To be the one who inspire as I was inspired.

I used to be a painter. and nothing know about computers but when I learn this course .. my mind blew, the media is quite powerful and I thought, its what I visualised I can also express as a 3d model. and I'm happy to enter the 3d industry. and also the people keep connecting with the others so it makes me keep grow!

I am always passion about movies and games from my childhood days. My hobbies as a child is to draw and paint and gradually bacame very good at my artistic skills. After my school education I was curios to know what are the process behind those fantastic visuals of movies and games, as I started to put on some research to it.
