For this project, I intended to create an animated commercial using dry humour. I got my inspiration from commercials made in the 90s and early 2000s, they were entertaining to watch even though their purpose is to sell you products/services. The reference was therefore taken from a video made by Adult swim, “Infomercial: For-Profit Online University | Adult Swim”.

Inspirations

The animation was created from referencing the original video and taking my own references. Then it was blocked in step by step mode in Maya to block out the bigger movements and then followed by adding the jaw pass. And lastly, adding the smaller details for the blocking plus of each characters. The challenge was to animate the female character iin a way that captures and shows her subtle movements as she speaks, in order to not let it look too stiff.
