Round of applause for our sponsors

throughout my childhood, I was inspired by several films and artists which would lead me to creating my own illustrations. Since I was young, my dream was to become a concept artist and create designs that sparked the same amount of awe in audiences as I used to feel when I was growing up.

I was always interested in animation from when I was ten years old however I didn't really believe that I could get a job in the industry until I heard about CDW Studios. Before that I was studying programming at Flinders University but decided to take a leap of faith and dove straight into my new course. The people who inspired me to get into the creative field were web animators on newgrounds. (RicePirate, JohnnyUtahNG, StamperTV, HarryPartridge, OneyNG, etc.)

I discovered my passion for art and storytelling as far back as high school, and I've been developing webcomics, short stories, novel manuscripts and games ever since.

I've been reading and making comics since I could pick up a pencil so I think this was always the way I wanted to be and the path I wanted to follow.

I first realised what I wanted to do with my art when my design teacher back in high school explained how popular digital art was and suggested I look into the courses offered by CDW Studios here in Adelaide. 5 years later and I've graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Digital Media along with Honours. I'm currently creating the first volume of my very first graphic novel titled "No Man's Land".

I have always had an interest in video games and films, however my realisation came to me when I was in art class in high school. I wasn't one of the art students who would paint with oils, instead I'd be going on the internet and looking at Loish and Ilya Kuvshinov and using copics to create my pieces. When I learned you could take a path down into concept art, I was sold, got a drawing tablet and drew a really bad first drawing on some free software.

I didn't really realized it, i just enjoyed playing games when i was younger and wanted to create things for games and movies that i have a passion for.

I first realized I wanted to work in this industry when I was learning more about myself as a person in university. I'm a creative individual who enjoys seeing self expression and true creativity within everyone in our community.

After competing my Fine arts degree I met a friend who inspired me to become a concept artist. I then decided that I wanted to bring my understanding of the fundamentals of art into the digital world. Taking my skill set into a digital realm was challenging, however, with hard work and determination I have been successful in creating a process I believe will benefit a production pipeline.

I've always liked movies, tv, books and games but a year into my first degree I realised IT wasn't for me and decided to make the switch to art which was something I was much more passionate about.

When I realised how much I loved the visual story telling medium in high school then decided I'm either doing this or I'm going down trying.

Parents accidentally let me play Halo CE when I was 6 and I've been captivated since.

I am a student at CDW Studios and Flinders University and it is my intention to become a 3D technical artist for film and television. In previous years I have focused heavily on 3D sculpting in programs such as Zbrush, however; over the past year I have taken special interest in rigging and am currently in the process of re-working my portfolio to demonstrate what I have learnt in such a small time frame. For this reason, all my completed work is sculpts and my work in progress is rigs.

The moment i realised i wanted to work in the entertainment industry was in my late high school years. Ever since then, I've been working on getting my design and illustration skills up to industry standards. I thoroughly enjoy creating characters that feel believable and making worlds for those characters to explore.

If I cannot create concept artworks then I will bring to life the concepts of others!

I've been wanting to pursue this field ever since I around 5 years old. I remembered it all started with Disney movies and how it captivated me as a child, thinking I wanna create stories like this too.

Growing up all I did was play video games and watch tv so really early on it inspired me to start creating content as well as consume it.

When I was in a lecture watching a teacher talk and show how the industry looks and the story's he made along the way, it lit a spart in me. I had no idea this existed and was originally going to do film. After that all I did was draw and watch the industry with a passion. That was 2 years ago.

Since I was a teenager. I studied concept art at Feng Zhu Design Academy in 2016, and after graduating worked as a 2D animator at a Pakistani animation studio called Mano Animation studios for 3 years, and then in various companies for another 2 years. Now I'm pivoting into 3D animation, as I believe it's a better fit for my skills.

I first realised I wanted to work in the creative industries when I was in year 5 (about 11 years old), when my teacher told me I could draw and create things as a career. From there I studied art in high school, and I am now studying 3D animation in University.

Year 9 2014, I was 14 When I did my work experience at cdw studios

I first realised I wanted to work in this industry when i did a certificate 2 course in 2019 that should me how much passion I have for 3D modelling or animation.

I never really clicked with any other activity or school subject outside of art and design. I'm an extremely imaginative person who can sit still for hours come up with and develop characters and stories; I've never been able to comfortably communicate my ideas verbally, so art became my way to demonstrate my ideas. I've also enjoy cartoons and movies and how passionate they make me feel; I'd love to provoke that same feeling to others with my own characters and stories.

All my life I have adored art, but 2014 is when I discovered my true love for concept art and the beauty that lies within that world. This is when I set my sights on CDW Studios and made it my life goal to get down there to learn from some of the best. As of 2021 I have finally relocated and started the expansion of my toolset. The journey has just begun and what lies ahead is truly exiting!
