Vanny Teng - 3D Environment Modeler
These are a compilation of personal projects that I have worked on in the past few months on top of school curriculum.
Hello! My name is Vanny Teng and I am a recent graduate from an Animation program in Toronto, Canada. I began learning CG art about 11 months ago and quickly learned that I wanted to specialize in 3D Modeling for animation. Ever since then, I put all my time into learning how to better my techniques, not just in modeling but in other aspects such as learning new software to make my workflow more efficient.
I am always looking for ways to improve on new projects and continually supplement myself with tutorials and classes that I can get my hands on!
Here is a demo reel of works I have done in the past few months:
Currently, I am working on a project where I have the leisure of experimenting with a new software called Speedtree. Initially, I had generated the base with trunks and twigs but with my limited knowledge and practice time, I was unable to get it anywhere close to the concept art (by Yewon Im). So instead what I had done was, build a blockout in Speedtree and sculpted the rest in Zbrush.
There are still ways to go on this project but I look forward to the process! These are WIP test renders done in Maya without displacement maps plugged in yet.
Lastly, here is my first 3D project and it is a rendition of a concept by Max Sabetskiy. I learned so many new terms and techniques from this project alone that I always look back on it to inspire myself to keep learning.
Thank you for your time!
