I realized I wanted to work in digital media at the end of a Biotech research internship. My P.I. sat down with me and said that he wasn’t sure if he chose the right career. He gave me guidance that if I continued to learn Biotech, to do it because I really loved it. But I wasn’t sure because I felt untapped. I took some time to figure out what I wanted and it led me to my roots in art. Ever since, I can’t get enough of the infinite sandbox in the digital space. I feel it’s what I’m meant to do.

When I first discovered the computer graphics industry, I fell in love immediately. The idea of crafting entire worlds using technology and a creative vision drew me in and inspires me every day to continue learning and developing my skills in CG!

I have been drawing and painting since I was a kid, but I did not fully realize I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry until I was in my senior year of high school, right during the college application season. I enjoyed consuming and creating artwork, and I did not want to give up my full attention on art in my career.

When I utilized Autodesk Maya to enliven my original screenplay onto the screen, I knew I wanted to work in the entertainment industry. I instantly fell in love with all of the stages of the computer graphics pipeline including modeling, rigging, texturing, lighting, and rendering. I truly enjoy planning the colors, lights, and textures in my scenes to navigate the viewer's eye around my 3D sets. This allows me to visually tell a story and accentuate the intricate details in my designs.
