Uncover Hidden Talent: Hire the World’s Top New Digital Artists
Many years ago, I saw a TV programme of people using 3D tools to create visual effects for the movie Abyss. Fast forward a few years later in high school, after many clicks of 3D Studio MAX and lots and lots of hours of playing classic first person shooters, I started making a portfolio of 3D graphics work.

I started to explore the possibility of entering the creative field in High School, practicing my drawing and painting skills. I eventually decided to pursue it in college, getting a Computer Animation and Visual Effects degree from the School oof Visual Arts, mostly because I wanted to learn things completely outside of my comfort zone. Through that I learned I loved 2D animation, Motion Design and newly- Stop Motion.
Seeing behind-the-scenes work for some of my favorite movies and TV shows like How to Train your Dragon and modern-day cartoons really inspired me to pursue entertainment design and animation. To have the power to create unforgettable characters and then bring them to life sounds like the most incredible job a person could have.
There was never any doubt that I wanted to be part of the VFX industry. My love for movies and fascination of creating photo-real effects were the foundation of my pursuit for a career as an FX TD. To accomplish my goals to reach a new level of high quality work on feature film and TV series, I sought to master my craft at Lost Boys | School of Visual Effects. There, I was able to produce my FX demo reel and acquire the skills to thrive in a high pressure environment.
I was most inspired by my brother growing up. He was always drawing and making art in so many different mediums. Compositing was the most fascinating form of art for me. In middle school, I fondly remember trying to create a hologram effect inspired by Iron Man 3. I hit so many roadblocks! The process of problem-solving was so addictive and sent me on a spiral of online resources to expand my knowledge of visual effects. I have been in this same spiral ever since, and I couldn't be happier.
I have always been an artist. I spent a lot of my youth taking every art class I can and gathering as many skills as possible. When I was a sophomore in high school I attended a pre-college program at The School of visual arts for 3D art and animation and fell in love! I worked very hard throughout high school to hone in my portfolio and was accepted to SVA. During my time at SVA I worked as a resident assistant on campus and I also ran the school's official LGBT+ association.
One thanksgiving, when I was talking to family about my future career, I was telling them how much I liked to draw, to write, to design and create my own characters and universes for fun. It wasn't until my uncle pointed out that those hobbies of mine could actual become a career that I began to fully devote myself to this world.
I've been creating something to express myself since I was young, and choose to study Fine Arts in Undergraduate. Through taking various courses from different majors I got interested in experimental animation and realized that time based media can also be a great way to express myself. Also, I was always in love with 2D tv animation and fascinated by the fact that it can spread the message to all range of age. Since then, I've wanted to work in animation industry and make something beautiful.
I've always been academically focused and originally intended to pursue biology, but when I allowed myself a break cartoons were my solace. Watching them, learning about how they were made, and drawing on my own brought me such joy between my weeks of scholarly focus. After a semester at college studying Bio I realized that was not my passion, and decided to pursue art. I always sort of knew I wanted this, but only stopped to think about it in January 2019.
When I was young, animated shows have been a place that made me feel as though nothing could harm me, that i was not alone, and that there was hope in a better tomorrow for all needing guidance. Ever since I have dedicated my years to become an animator, wanting to create something that i could be proud of. I too wanted to create a piece of film or show that could bring family together and to make many children of the world happy. Only then i would know i have found my purpose for living.
During my first year of high school, a friend of mine showed me the pilot for RWBY and I instantly fell in love with the bombastic animation that then helped me realize how much I loved video games and animation and how much time I spent analyzing it. I always liked traditional arts and wanted to see what the digital world had in store.
