Round of applause for our sponsors

The first time I realized that I wanted to work in the game industry when I played Uncharted 4 so I wanted to learn how to create the environment. So I started to learn 3D in 2016.

Art has always been a huge part of my life, and gaming was introduced to me at an early age through my older brother, two hobbies I still have to this day. It wasn't until the middle of upper secondary school though that I would get the revelation that game development is a legit profession and that I would be able to combine my two hobbies within that field, and so I have through studies and work since 2015.

I've always been into art, music and creating things. And I've always loved playing games and being immersed in them. Doing what I love as a career would be awesome.

I thought for the longest time I wanted to be a 2D artist. I always loved drawing and creating characters, and wanted to work in animation. During a digital art course during highschool, I was forced to learn some 3D modelling, and instantly fell in love. Just as in 2D, I wanted to create characters, and I enjoyed every part of the process from character design to modelling, to animation. Realizing my favorite part was rigging, I decided that was what I wanted to work with.

Ever since I was a little boy. It's been my dream as long as I can remember.

Since I was very young and started my first game ever which was Sonic on the SEGA.

My path started when I had a moded Xbox classic with Halo 1 and 2. The experience and awe those games gave me is something I want to replicate and share if it is history or Fantasy.

I get inspired by the limitations of real time graphics to create optimized and game ready characters. Rigging and animating to actually see the creatures become alive. Finding both the creative and technical part just as fun, challenging and stimulating.

Over the past 4 years, using game engines to improve my work-flow as a motion graphic animator and video editor I got myself involved with game development and got very excited to keep learn Game Design and keep going in this direction, challenging myself to create exceptional content and approach different and better ways to do it together with a team based structure.

I have a background as graphic designer but from 2014 I started to work on mobile games

After graduating I realized that I have many ideas to share but lacking the skills and education to do it, so I started self learning the tools and art fundamentals to help me take the first step into entering the creative industry; to hopefully be part of the process of creating meaningful and fun games.

I was 16 when a friend of mine said there was a school to learn game development so I searched for a school and got in then I was hooked on game development.

I knew when I was in art school that my vivid imagination would serve me best as a brand designer. I graduated and joined the advertising industry as an Art Director, the 15 years experience gave birth to the idea of working in the gaming industry as a Marketing/Game artist.

I've always been into video games and art since I was 4 years old and the more time have past the more I loved it to the point that it ended up as a dream of mine. What made me jump into the creative industries? well, it's a mix of my favourite games such as but not limited to; Need For Speed, Gran Turismo, Hi-Fi Rush, Destiny2, Overwatch, Arknights... as well as some general franchises like; Transformers, Spider-Man (specifically the Spider-Verse movies), a wide poll of Animes, and more...

I think it's always been an underlying idea, but I didn't start acting on it until 2020 when I started applying for Game Design and Programming bachelors. I quickly realized programming wasn't for me, and now I'm about to finish my program in QA/Game Tester.

When a friend of mine, who was already studying game design, asked me to join him for a side project, I understood that this was what I wanted to do in my life. I was already thinking about it before that, but when I started putting my hand into game development, I had the certainty.

i have Always had an interest in programming and a started focusing more on it when i started studie game programming in hight scool

Both my education and my personal interests have always reflected the creative side. Having interest in theatre, music and stories I have been inspired to pursue these vast subjects and eventually understand the processes behind them. Since I was young I have been playing team sports so I am always fond of collaboration. The gaming industry is a perfect fit for me and provides an incredible opportunity to develop my skills.

I've been doing different kinds of art almost all my life, but I think it was when I was around 16 and was working with photo manipulation in a Phototshop course I took, that I really started to feel that I wanted to work with something creative.

It has always been my passion, but I realized I'd love a creative career rather than having it just as a hobby in high school.

It's always been in the back my mind, but for real was two years ago.

I have started to learn game art 3 years ago by myself. After 1 year I have realized that I really enjoy it and decided to get an education. Thus I could find a job and start working in game industry.

I realized pretty early on that I wanted to work within the gaming industry in some shape or form - I believe it was World of Warcraft that sparked the interest. However, growing up, it was never a very accessible option for me and I always told myself I needed to be a programming wizard to succeed, so I gave up the dream pretty quickly. It wasn't until I turned 28 and said "screw it" and applied to a school on a whim that my dreams finally became real!
