학원에 다니면서 실무자들이 일하는 동영상들과 작품들을 보고 저도 이 업계에서 일하고 싶다는 생각을 가지게 되었습니다.

After watching Iron Man in high school, I interested in VFX . It was fascinating for me to believe that cartoon characters exist somewhere in the real world through computer graphics. While learning VFX, when I created what I imagined using a 3D program,I felt proud that I couldn't express in words and this experience gave me confidence in my job as a VFX designer.

After graduating from an university, I thought about what I really wanted to do and liked. I wanted to make films with my own hands, which I loved since when I was a kid (I am a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit series). Among of them, I felt the biggest attraction to VFX that makes imagination to a reality, so I decided to study. About 3 years ago, I worked in a small company. I supported making animation but that work was OEM. so there is no creation and passion in the company. I really wanted to be more creative and get specialized skills. So one day, I decided to change the course of my life and I started to learn CGI.

Starting with paintings and videos from a young age, I naturally admired this side. While doing something else, I quit my job because I wanted to learn CG graphics that I had longed for, and I am immediately on the path of learning and completion.

when i was 12 years old

While majoring in sculpture art in college, I was excited about the endless new possibilities and knew. That's why I wanted to work in this industry.

I accidently jumped into CG while watching Marvel movies. The colorful Effects and the first-ever creativity wer unique. It completely captivated me visually, and I fell in love. So I studied at the Academy right away and even made a portfolio of scenes from a Marvel movie, even made reels for a longlong time :) And I wanna work in the CG industry as soon as possible.

I wanted to learn about three dimensions, so I went to art high school, entered art college, majored in ridicule, and since then, I have entered sf Film School and learned about vfx in earnest.

When I was in high school, I first became interested in movies.

I liked games since I was young. In the end, I got greedy to make a game. So I became interested in computer graphics and started CG.

As I grew up reading detective novels, I wanted to make a detective office because it was a job I wanted to try.

Rather than becoming a painter after graduating from college, I thought about my career path as to what other jobs I could do while saving my aptitude. At that time, I remembered that I was fascinated by the lively CG of the movie Avatar. I learned that CG requires as much creativity and delicacy as painting, and I became more interested in the job. I chose this job because I thought it was very attractive the more I recognized CG.

As a kid, I was absolutely captivated by the grandeur of Korean historical dramas, especially those epic war scenes that seemed to leap out of the screen. They were my gateway into the mesmerizing world of creative media. It wasn't until later, as I immersed myself in countless movies and shows, that I stumbled upon the magic of Visual Effects (VFX). It was like discovering a hidden treasure.

My interest in visual effects and 3D animation was sparked by a blend of artistic inspiration and curiosity. Turning imagination into reality motivated me to seek education and training in the field, where I strive to grow as an artist each day.

I have enjoyed watching various videos since I was young. I was interested in various videos such as music videos, movies, dramas, and fashion films, and among them, I was attracted to the intensity of videos using special effects. Also, I started to pay attention to CG while watching movies that create characters or objects that are not real and embody them as real. I decided to do this because I felt that it would be so meaningful to be able to inspire others through my imagination.

The reason why I chose this job was because my dream was to create something new. Since I was young, I wanted to be a story maker and thought about how I could achieve that dream. Then, I watched a 3D animation movie and entered VFX as a means of telling my own story.

My major was materials science & engineering. The main job was to design experiments, select the right materials, and then synthesize and combine them to make conductive electrode materials. In particular, I liked to express the entire experimental process in pictures, so I decided to learn 3D tools professionally. So I found out about VFX and all the SF movies I loved were based on VFX. So I really wanted to try this job.

I first had the idea when I was a college student. I have always enjoyed watching movies, especially science fiction films, and while watching them, I had the desire to create things that I couldn't create in real life. So, I decided to pursue a career in the creative industries.

I‘ve noticed that I’ve always been good with videos and films since grade 7. At the same time, I have always been a person who likes to influence people with the ideas that have been in my mind since I was a child. Thus, I am on track to achieve its goals.

Growing up with Harry Potter, I was surprised to be able to express a virtual world that did not exist to this extent. Since then, I have always dreamed of becoming a 3D artist.

When most of my friends liked the romance, I was alone fascinated with fantasy movies such as the Game of Thrones. Even when these TV programs were not aired in Korea, I still found ways by searching hard by myself and watched them without any translation. Then I wondered how the scenes with all kinds of magic, dragons were made, and so on, finding the breakdowns of various companies, I thought, ‘I would love to make such wonderful scenes’ and it became my goal.

Most of the students who participated in the <After> projects are aspiring VFX artists and game graphics designers. Being part of the <After> project helped our students to find out their passion in the creative media and entertainment industry.

I studied film at university, so I have a lot of interest all about film industry. Also, I specially really love Sci-Fi film, then I naturally get some fun to computer graphics.
