Crime Scene (Nullum Scelus Rationem Habet)

My film in portfolio is based on crime scene concept. I want to convey that Evil is closer than we think but for whatever reason evil is ultimately bad. Thank you for enjoying my movie and taking your time.

At first, it was a clean crime scene, but as forensic investigations turned out to be, I thought of a scene where there was no blood. But I wanted to show the subject more clearly, so I decided to make it a story of a murder case. After modeling and texturing the scene before and after the incident, I wanted to show the flow of the murder case, so I made a camera in 'one take'.

BREAKDOWN

I made most of the objects using Maya and textured them using Substance Painter. The rugs were initially shaped using the curve tool and then 'nhair' and 'mash'. Then I used 'vray fur' to make it richer. Also, I used a quad draw for complex assets. Newspapers used 'ncloth' to express a more overlapping appearance.

From this scene, it expresses the room getting more and more cluttered due to fights.

I used 'ncloth' to express curtains and papers blowing in the wind.

The flowerpot was modeled first and then shattered using 'shatter' and the dirt used the bump map.

To show that they are fighting, I used 'rigid' to express falling books.

I used 'ncloth' to represent the leaves fluttering as the tree pot fell.

I used 'liquid' to express the blood dripping as much as possible.

At first I used rigid, but it looked like a bowling pin, so I used ncloth to express a naturally falling candlestick.

Thank you for watching my film.

Have a nice day :)
