Round of applause for our sponsors

The interest was already great at a young age when I was still playing stunning titles on Nintendo, such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario 64 or James bond. Unfortunately, life came in between and had other plans for me. At the beginning of 2016 I decided to do some self-study and realize my childhood dream.

Since I was a kid, always living in a fantasy world and wanted to create new things.

I first realized my passion for the creative industries when I was just a child. I was always drawn to the world of video games, and it captivated my imagination from a very early age. The idea of crafting entire virtual worlds, characters, and stories fascinated me. As I grew older, I realized that I didn't just want to be a player but a creator. I started to explore various forms of art, from drawing and painting to digital design, all with the goal of bringing my ideas and visions to life.

At 2012 at 22 years old, I started almost accidentaly a small videogame startup. When everything went wrong, i took the decision that art will become my life.

Started off creating props out of foam then moved to 3D modeling. I started with fusion 360 and moved onto ZBrush. ZBrush is my main program but currently improving my skills in Maya and Substance Painter. In 2022 I was let go from my software development job and decided to turn my hobby into a career and joined an animation course to learn more about the industry and prepare myself for working as a 3D modeler.

I realised I wanted to pursue a career in art from such a young age, by the age of 5 or 6 I knew I wanted to pursue a creative career. It was actually the games I played as a child that inspired me to pursue this passion for art. I was always blown away by the fantasy worlds and incredible characters games created in such an immersive experience. Games I played as kid such as Ratchet and Clank, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Half Life, World of Warcraft etc. are what ignited this passion.

I knew I wanted to work in the creative industry when I graduated from secondary school I really enjoyed making ideas come to life from my mind whether it be a physical or digital model. I went from college with a diploma in art and design and studied architecture in university once I graduate I knew I wanted to be in the 3D industry making environments and props, architecture and product design.

The realization of a career in the creative industries was not a sudden epiphany but rather a gradual evolution of my interests and passions. Growing up, I was always drawn to various forms of artistic expression, and as time went on, I found myself increasingly captivated by the potential of creative fields.

I've always had a passion for art and video games, and wanted to get into the video game industry after the military. Even though it's several yers later, I've not given up on that dream.

First when i started 3D i wanted make cartoon animations. But after learning i saw there is a Big pipeline in between and making characters was challenging me. Then i practice more character art and suddenly falling with love for the industry

I have been interested in the creative industry since my first exposure to animation as a child. I have always had that interest but have not truly acted on it. I spent most my time just dabbling with creating art as a hobby. Recently I have decided to take my joy of creating more seriously, desiring to finally pursue it as a full time career.

When I was a kid my very first creative dream job was to draw mangas like dragonball. Although I have had some creative holes towards the end of school, there was never really another option for me besides creative work. Funny enough it never occured to me that I could ACTUALLY work for videogames, even though I absolutely loved playing them, until I got to know about various 3D-Softwares. My creative journey has changed a lot since then. I dove deep into all the nittiy-gritties of 3D-art.

My original goal in high school, 11 years ago, was to become a professional artist, but I fell to external pressures to enter a more "traditionally stable" career path in law. While studying and working in law for 6 years, I'd spend my nights after work illustrating, and eventually venturing into 3D art and animation. My progress and enjoyment with 3D encouraged me to fully pursue a career change in 2021.

I enjoy 3d modeling, To me the best is learning to create realistic and adorable renders.

I realized after I created my first Mod for a game called Garrys Mod. It randomly came to me one day when talking to someone saying they were creating a game and were looking for talented individuals. At that time I was starting out and knew nothing about the industry or how PBR texture workflow worked or how to even make my own textures/uvs. A lot of what I first learned was all self taught, and later helped me learn a lot faster with past experience.

I wanted to go into the creative field during University. And only recently finding out I want to be a 3D character artist

I realized it when I found out that there was an industry dedicated to games (this was in 2018). Since then, I've been looking to develop and improve new skills and also learn more about the video game industry so that I can work in it.

I first realized it when I was little, I used to draw a lot but I was never very good, for the first time I was given a notebook, which I used to edit videos I had, and try to put special effects, editing, I learned photoshop, and many programs that were helping me, originally I wanted to be a FX artist, but then I got excited with the character modeling and character printing.

I have always been an artist and drawing since I was 6 but I finally realized that I wanted to be in the animation/film industry when I stepped back and looked around. What about me is different? What do I have that is odd, uncommon, specific to me? Well, for one my family has an extensive movie collection, our own DIY projector movie area, and a movie theatre ritual. I love art and film so why not combine both :)

I've always done art and loved creating things, but I first concretely set my mind on this line of work once I studied 'Computer Animation and Visual Effects' at university; and have never looked back!! Absolutely love it!

I knew I wanted to work within the creative industries when I started my B.A Degree back in 2018, But only realised I wished to work within the Games Industry, when I started my M.A in Game Design.

Wellllll, since you asked: Once upon a winter’s day... I was born on the day of Christ during the Age of Aquarius: a Capricorn, capricious dare I say facetious, descended from the womb of my mother like a god from the heavens … some 2:11 if recollection and revelation serves me correct. Yeah, that was when I first realized I wanted to work in creative industries. :P

During my school year I was introduced to 3D animation and creative industry that goes along with it and it peaked my interests finding out that I wanted to create and show off my art work to the industry of entertainment
