Round of applause for our sponsors

I sort of always knew that I wanted to work in the entertainment industry, specially videogames, since they have been an all time hobby of mine.

HI! It all started when I have created Creative 3d content for audiovisual shows and night shows. In 2012 I studied 3d Studio Max and Animation in Barcelona. In 2014 I studied Autodesk Maya in Madrid, where I work at big business creating Audiovisual content for audiovisual shows. Now, since 2017 I'm VFX Specialist with Houdini. I learned Houdini in Animum3d School. I'm VFX Artist at Gameloft

I was excited to see the Jurassic Park movies as a child and since then I have wanted to enter this world of entertainment. Although life takes many turns and I ended up studying Architecture, my passion for the creation of new scenarios or characters always remained firm so, after finishing my degree I decided to continue learning on my own everything I could of 3D modeling and apply it with that I had learned.

My name is Alicia Ariza and currently I'm a Houdini FX TD Artist . I have skills in Particles, Pyro, RBD, Flips and Crowds in Houdini, and also I have skills with the Nuke and Unreal software. I also like to learn and face new challenges.

When I was a child, my experience with video games and cinema world made me have great experiences with my friends. I want to enter the industry because I want to instill this feeling that I felt to other people.

I realized I wanted to work in the 3D entertainment industry 3 years ago, when I started my journey. However, I've been an artist since I was born. During these past years I've worked on improving my skills in the 3D character development field for videogames and cinema, enjoying each part of it and feeling proud of all my little achievements.

I don't know exactly. I was always attracted to art and animation. It's simple and it seems superficial, but it's something I've got stuck in me. I couldn't just leave it because it became part of me. I've never studied hoping to get into the industry, I just think it's a natural step to keep getting better day after day. Over the years, I realized that my frustrations helped me value the work of others and realize that I will always feel small. But it's that feeling that makes me want to try.

Like many of us, live in the world of video games, science fiction movies, animated films... we hope someday to be able to do something that we have been surprised or we have been fascinated. Around two and a half years ago I had the opportunity to save money and was when I decided to star the Master Online of Modeling of Characters 3D for Films and Video games" at Animum School. I'm really happy and I do not want to stop learning, show my work and be able to work and live from 3D.

First of all, I studied a Arts Degree, between brushes, pictures, sculpting tools, sculptures, and more things. I guided my career in 2D ilustrations. Two years ago I was starting to try 3D softwares, but that was very dissapointing, i couldnt do it correctly. Finally, one year ago, i met one friend who is working in a 3D studio, and he explained to me a bit of the 3D method and encourage me to start in this industry. And in this moment i'm trying it!

When youtube started to become popular around 2006, I wanted to create animations after seeing so many people create such funny videos. I never had the chance to make anything at the time but I began using Maya and Blender around 2013 to start making my own models and animations, but it wasn't until 2018 that I realised that I wanted to be a 3D Animator professionally.

since I was a child I always knew that I liked to create things, that over the years this love for 3d was born

I have always been into art, so I studied traditional techniques before, drawing, painting, sculpting and so on. I was looking for what I really wanted to specialize in, I tried with interior design, fashion design, and a few of fields more, but the moment I tried a course of 3D, I knew 3D modeling was my thing.

The 3D art has always been a thing for me. Since I first played a immersive 3D game when I was just a child, this awesome world called me. However, thinking that you can actually work creating videogames enviroments, 3D films or just that awesome M16 that you carry in COD, used to sound like a fantasy. Not anymore. As soon as I concluded the "realistic job" studies, I dicided to turn my old fantasy in a reality. I wasn't made for a job that kills my creativity. So here I am. Following the dream

Since I started studying graphic design and I realized that the part that I liked the most was 3d.

i studied photography in 1996 to 1998 and worked like assistant and photographer for some years… but soon I specialized in 2D postproduction with PhotoShop. after more than 20 years working in high quality productions for Fiat, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Seat and a lot of other brands it is time to take some steps further: moving in time and in 3D-Space!

Since I was a teenager and I made my first claymation short film for a school project.

I started my studios on CEV Barcelona to focus on my career as an artist. After a couple of months dealing with ZBrush and Maya I realised that 3D Modeling is my passion.

Since i was a child and my fathers took me to see star wars at the cinema. Since i feel a desapointment feeling every time a movie ends and i have to come black to reality.

I allways know that this industry wil be my life.

Without knowing it since I was little I loved animated movies, today it is a dream to work on them and in this world

Since I was child all was lights and shapes so I started on the photography getting a position in some studios for nearly 10 years as a photo-editor. Few years ago I decided to focus my knowledge and skill into the VFX and 3D world.
