Hello! Currently I'm a second year student at Howest DAE studying Game Graphics Production. Here you have a collection of my work over the past year. During these 2 years I have become very fond of character & environment art and would like to explore it further.

YeeLAW!

This is my most recent and my most proud of project. I decided to apply the whole character pipeline to the amazing Wild West concept of Jason Nguyen. As this was my first time applying this workflow on a more complex character it was quite a journey but also very fulfilling. I hope to do more character sculpts in the near future!

Sculpted in Zbrush, retopologized in Autodesk 3ds Max, textured in Substance Painter.

Last walk along the sea

While strolling along the sea Rocky hears some music… coming out of a shell?

The next project is actually my first character I ever made, it's based on a design I made myself (you can check it below). As this was the first time I ever sculpted a character, retopo-ed and learned how to work with Substance Painter it was a pleasant adventure.

Maplestory Resting Spot

To learn the basics of Zbrush and sculpting in general I made a diorama based on the 2D MMO Maplestory. All props in scene are based on the concept art of the official game. This was my first environmental piece which was very fun so I'll be exploring environmental art some more!

Concept Art

The Last Journey

As we had to design our own art pitch, including designing a character, environment and style analyse I told the story of Rocky, an old mushroom who wants to enjoy his last moments at the sea thus his last journey begins. I really enjoyed this project since our creativity had no limits. For this artstyle I let myself get inspired by 2 of my favorite artists : Fabien Mensche & Alexandre Diboine.

The belongings of a lonely adventurer

I designed 5 props of an adventurer, specifically a herbalist who's eager to seek for more knowledge of plants & nature.
