Laith Shewayish - 2020 3D Portfolio
Hard-surface models I produced during my final year at the University of Hertfordshire.
Ganymede
Since the end of last year, much of my time has been taken up by modeling and rigging a robotic character for my final year project, Uplink, a game cinematic in Unreal Engine 4. It was a long and often tricky journey on the way to seeing this design realised in 3D, but one I definitely learned a lot from.
Since he's for a cinematic rather than a full game, I was more generous with the poly and texture budget than I would be otherwise so I could retain as much detail as possible - his final in-engine model clocks in at around 350K tris, composed of just under a hundred individual moving parts.
Drones
As well as Ganymede, I was also responsible for designing, modeling, and texturing the security drones that the duo face throughout Uplink.
