"Points de repères" inspired shot
A shot inspired by the series "Points de repères," created using only After Effects for animation.
"Hi! I'm Hippolyte Crouzier, a student in Motion Design and Art Direction at E-artsup in France. I started less than 2 years ago in motion design. Recently, I worked on a project for school inspired by the series "Points de Repères" on Arte. The goal was to create a similar shot entirely using After Effects. I had only 3 weeks to complete the project while also working on my other class assignments.
During this project, I learned a lot about compositing and color grading in After Effects, thanks to my teacher Alexandre Barbuzzi, who also works on the series !
Also, thanks to my friend Valentine Montout, who acted in the project !
Final look process:
-Glow, shine and cc toner (to add light and color)
-Exposure+ and exposure- (to direct the audience's gaze to where I want them to look.)
-Curves (to adjust contrast)
-CC Lens and transform (to create a lens distortion, like a footage from a real camera.)
-Exposure- and gaussian blur (to make a vignetage.)
-Noise 3-4% (because there is always noise on real footage).
-Color grading with Lumetri.
