Kaden Lewis- Demoreel and FX/Compositing Work

This is my demoreel. A comprehensive video containing my best skills. From CG integration to various forms of FX art. I display my fundamental knowledge of VFX and capability to work with and lead a team composed of other artists.

This entry is my most recent project using Sidefx Houdini to add hair and cloth to this model. I created the textures myself as well using Adobe Substance Painter.

This is my latest project done using just Houdini tools and rendered in Redshift. I was really proud of the particles coming from the sword using the advect by volume node to help sell the sword trails. The mannequin has subsurface scattering as its main material to give the render a bit more of an integrated quality.

And last but not least my entry, is my biggest and most collaborative project to date. This is Nyota Providence, an Afrofantasy trailer following a group of gods as they are called by their mother to protect the world. I created, wrote, directed, produced, and acted as VFX supervisor for the entire project. From start to finish I lead a team of over 30+ artists to achieve this goal. It was a hard journey that taught me many lessons but I am immensely proud to have gone through it.
