Melody’s projects 2022/2023

                        Starry Witch

STARRY WITCH is a webtoon project I have started working on during my 3rd and last year. My goal is to participate in the Webtoon contest! (still in progress)

The plot is about Astra : a young witch living in a magic forest who decided to go into the human world to run her late mother's magic shop.

She used to listen to her mother telling stories about the shop and humans she met, so much that her dream is to reopen it as soon as her 20 years ring's up.

Astra

Her familiar Dart : a plushie made by her mother before she was born. Astra used it to sumon her familiar but a vile spirit got into it in the process. They live together ever since.

The second main character in this story is Hazel, another witch who lives in the human world since she was born. She's Astra neighbour and holds a Café next to the magic shop.

Her familiar Ruru : a bunny made of white and ruby chocolate who stresses a lot. Ruru's scared they will melt away

Iskra was a character design workshop taught by Anna Lakisova where I was able to work on this character : the shaman.
The requirements were to create a realistic character without using photobash, to focus on the rendering part. I'm proud of this one !

              The valiant little tailor

The valiant little tailor was a team workshop, our theme was SF : I worked on the environments.

The first one is the chapel inside a forest, I created this image by putting myself in the little tailor's shoes who walks among the forest searching for the chapel. (still in progress)

The second was the giant's home, we chose to make them live underground, in toxic sewers.

For 3 years I was able to learn from talented teachers and meet a lot of interesting people. Thank you for sharing those years with me !

My journey is only starting but I can't wait to make my mark and infuse the world with the magic of colors !
