ATLAS - A second year team game project
Throughout the course of our second year at university, the Cartographers, a group of 11 students, worked together to turn a world pitch into a game project. The game itself can be found on the team's itch.io page, here: https://thecartographers.itch.io/atlas
Grab your board and set the best times across the land of S’ier’a. Trick, boost and explore the world within Atlas. Don’t forget your map!
Using a unique physics-based trick system, pilot your board at breakneck speeds, with a focus on exploration and player expression. Equipped with a map and hoverboard, choose your own path through three vibrant biomes. Surf, trick and glide your way across the land of S'ier'a and discover the secrets hidden in the mountains above the clouds. Map your own journey, in Atlas.
As mentioned before, the team is compromised of 11 members, namely:
Jack Alsop, Rachel Sollars, Matthew Wilson, Edward Jennings-Clowes, James Percival, Erin Bashford-Hobbs, Faith Hamill, Jess Davies, Shane Geen, Guy Borland and Jack Fergus - with external assistance from Neil Hamill. This project was a great deal of work, and taught us a lot of valuable lessons about working as a team.
Below are some photos from our development, although more images can be found on the game's Twitter page, here: https://twitter.com/PlayAtlasGame
We can't wait to see where third year takes us and are excited to work on more projects together!
Thank you for reading, from the Cartographers.
