Demo Reel

I'll begin the showcase with my latest reel. It was made after a whole year of hard work at Animum Creativity Advanced School and it breaks down three big projects:

A hardsurface study of an Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8B, a 3D recreation of an environment envisioned by Sylvain Sarrailh and a Look Development project with a character modeled by Juan Solís and animated by Lluís Llobera.

Environments

Birds (Original Concept art by Sylvain Sarrailh)

Previously seen in my reel, this project was made during the second module of the Advanced 3D Production Master degree at Animum Creativity Advanced School. It was modeled and lit in Maya, textured in Substance Painter, rendered using Arnold and composed in NukeX. Some atlas were downloaded from Quixel Megascans and the trees were made using SpeedTree and TreeIt.

Original Artwork

Dark Room (Original Concept art by Sylvain Sarrailh)

This was the first environment I made since finishing my studies. It's a recreation of another concept made by Sylvain, since I really like his art and I have a great time working with it. This was a pretty challenging lighting work that allowed me to step up my skill level in order to make a faithful recreation of the original piece.

Original Artwork

Skyfall Inspired Environment

Since Juan Solís' character had some resemblance to Javier Bardem I quickly decided that my shot would be inspired by one of my favourite movies ever: Skyfall. Bardem masterfully plays the villain of the film, Raoul Silva. The environment is a reimaginated version of his lair, using tons of artificial lighting and a dense fog to better match the creepiness of the acting. The clothes and X-Gen on the other hand are an accurate recreation of the character looks.

Props

Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8B

My first big project made during the Advanced 3D Production Master degree. A challenge where I was able to apply all the knowledge acquired during my first three months at Animum. There aren't many of these cars around, so I had a hard time finding references, but at the end it was all worth it.

Busted PSP

A project that isn't showcased in the reel but that I'm still very proud of. One of the earliest hardsurface practices I made at Animum. It gave me the chance to recreate a real-life object that I could hold in my hands: my childhood PSP (even though I took better care of mine!)

Grenades (CS:GO inspired)

This was the first project I made after a well deserved rest since finishing my studies. I wanted to start with something small. Had a lot of fun creating these and it was a great way to regain confidence in my skills!

Textures

Recently, I began to study Substance Designer and I've already completed some courses made by Max Golosiy, Milad Kambari and 3DExtrude to learn about their different workflows.

Thank you for your time!!
