It's implied in the story that the robot ends up in a place where they are creating or experimenting with bizarre aliens
I struggled with how to represent the liquid in the tube that the alien is trapped in, and eventually settled on a scatter.
When creating a scene with many assets, the weight of the scene made it difficult to work with, so I ended up replacing the assets with single tiles and creating a proxy file to use.
The character and background assets were all modeled with Maya and a Zbrush, and the textures were created using Substance Painter and Mari
Below are the references I used, and I tried to make the assets as close to the references as possible.
