Hello everybody! This is my first animation demo reel composed of my different works done during my training at ECV Bordeaux school. I realized modeling, shading, lighting, rendering and compositing of each works. All feedbacks are welcome !

All Modeling and Lighting was created in Maya.

Attic

Attic is the last project I did. The processus was important for me as an artist because it allowed me to see my evolution during this two years of Master degree whether it was artistically or technically speaking.

In this project, I wanted to highlight the beauty of an image as well as my passion for the Shading and Lighting. 

For this, I worked a lot on the composition and creation of atmospheres, inspired by vintage parisian workshops pictures. 

Also, it was a way to challenge myself because it was the first time I realized a timelapse.

I worked every aspects on this scene; Modeling and Lighting on Maya, Textures on Substance Painter as well as the creation of a wood floor on Substance Designer and finally, I did the Rendering on Arnold and the Compositing on Nuke.

For the textures, unlike my other projects, I wanted to create more realistic textures to be able to project into the image even better.

For the robot, i chose the concept of Matt Dixon and decided to make a 3D version of it.  

Greece

For this project, decided to interpret the sunny concept of Yen Shu Liao named "The Silk Road" with my own vision: a marine and bright Greece.

I choose to use cold tones and bright colors related to the country. Then, I added touches of warm colors and a glowing Lighting reminding the sunset on the seaside. 

Most of textures, like patterns for example, are paint handmade in Substance Painter. 

For this project and for the first time, I used Speetree to create climbing plants.  

Trailer

This trailer is the first project that I made from the start to the end. My passion for the Lighting and especially the Shading started with this project.

I always loved artistic stylized styles, that's why I choose the Goeun Kim's concept. 

To keep the style of the concept, I wanted to make textures entirely handpainted on Substance Painter.


Mystical Pond

This pond is an adaptation of the Momo no Momo's concept named "Mana Well". 

I was really sensitive to the mystic atmosphere of the concept and I was particularly attracted by the details of the crystal.

The realization of this project was a challenge for me because I wanted to make textures mostly with brushes and not by using procedural painting in Substance Painter.

However, I didn't have much time to realize it because I had one week to reproduce this concept in 3D

Chumbucket

As an answer to an imposed theme called « Urban View», I chose to reproduce the adaptation of the Chumbucket from Sponge Bob made by Dana Ulama. 

I was searching for something original for this theme and I immediately fell in love with the quirky and colorful vision of Dana Ulama. She made a more gloomy and bold interpretation far from the orignal childish universe.

I appreciated the challenge of switching between the 2D aspect for the textures and the 3D modeling to preserve the cartoon style specific to the universe.
