Mustang Shelby GT500 1967 - 3D Model
This was a University Assignment where we had to display techniques in Direct Modelling and understanding on; shaders, lighting & rendering. So I modelled and textured the classic Mustang Shelby GT500 1967 in red.
This project was a very fun process! To start with I used blender to put the element together and direct model. I used techniques such as; lattice, retop poly draw, extrusion, arrays and Boolean. Before this process I made sure that I had 4 orthographic views of the Mustang blueprint. This was necessary in getting the proportions in the car correct. Then I took the model into substance painter; using grunge maps, paint brushes and generators I managed to get a damaged look on the car paint. Then finally I rigged the car and made a quick animation of it in Blender alongside setting up a lighting set up in Houdini to push for a hyper realistic render.
