Stylized portfolio
Hi there, My name is Juan-Miguel Bauwens and in my entry I want to show the work I've been creating.
He who sees all
Watch out for this one! He has seen it all and knows the outcome… with a dead gaze he floats the true void. Sculpted and handpainted in Zbrush, concept was made in Procreate
The hero and the mount
This creature was based on a character made by the amazing Germán Reina Carmona .I tried drawing a companion/mount for one of his characters. I had so much fun creating this octodog.
On this concept I made an 3D sculpt. Sculpted in Zbrush.
Spirit of the Menhir Taiga
For my stylized design exam, we had to create a creature, a treasure and an environment in a certain style. Nixes is a friendly snow spirit that is tasked by his ancestors to guard the essence of the Menhir Taiga. The essence of the Menhir Taiga contains magic that connects all life within the forest, without it the forest would be fooled.
B(l)ob The adventurer
B(l)ob the adventurer roams around looking for his lost slime people. Sculpted and handpainted in Zbrush, concept was made in Procreate
Inner Demon
Visual presentation of the anxiety inside we all face. The Inner Demon. The 3D model is based on one of my own 2D concept. Sculpted and painted in Zbrush. The concept was drawn in Procreate.
Druid
At night he roams through the mystical dark forest. The forest spirits granted him his magic. He protects the forest from outsiders even beyond his death. The 3D model is based on one of my own 2D concept. Sculpted and painted in Zbrush. Concept was drawn in Procreate.
Celestial Traveler
Protecting his offspring , skating from planet to planet in search for a new home. Sculpted and handpainted in Zbrush, concept was made in Procreate
Stylized Tengu
This is my first character that i sculpted a year ago in Zbrush. Retopology was done in 3dsMax, materials was done in Substance Painter. I had alot of fun with it.
Original concept made by 'Việt Nguyễn'. click here to see his amazing concept art!
