The Fall of Sauron (RBD Project)
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy was one of the biggest inspirations for me pursuing VFX. Considering the movies had come at a time where CGI was relatively new, the trilogy was a first glimpse of the potential future of story-telling. It only seemed fair that I would pay tribute to this masterpiece with the skills I have learnt to become an FX TD at Lost Boys. With the knowledge I gained, I was able to replicate the Fall of Sauron using Houdini. Thank you to Peter Jackson and his phenomenal VFX team who pushed the boundaries of VFX forward while also inspiring so many young artists like myself to pursue this as a career and passion.
Spirit Wolf (Personal Project)
It may sound cliché, but I have always found people who I work with and the industry as a whole as a pack of wolves. Wolves symbolize loyalty and spirit which is something I find important in visual effects. You are working as a team on a given project that requires a level of trust in each other. But also, needing a sense of creativity that is unique to each person. That is why I created this personal project of mine called the "Spirit Wolf" which embodies these elements together. Something like the wolf evolved into more of a personal rendition that displays creativity.
