Round of applause for our sponsors

From a young age, as most people, I was drawn to 2D and 3D animation but never really looked into it as a "career" path, given its not something common in latin america. Throughhout highschool I developed a lot of artistic skills which still had no particular use, that was until I stumbled upon a 3D artist online. I was mesmerized by what I saw and decided to look into it feeling I had finally found the path I was looking for. A place were imagination runs wild and there are no limits.

Since I started playing video games I have been interested in this field. At first because who doesn't want to be part of something as creative as games? But after learning more of that process I started learning 3D animation and now that I'm finishing my studies I'm eager to start in the industry.

As a child, my dream job was to be a film director, so I always loved movies and dreamed about creating these fantasy worlds. So this inspired me to enter this world of design and creation.

I have always liked the world of entertainment, I remember watching movies with my family and friends or playing video games and the feeling i got of entering another universe ever since i was little. I started liking this more and more as I grew older, so I immediately knew that it was what I wanted to dedicate my life to.

Since I was a child, I was always curious about how my favorite video games and animated series were created, which led me to create my own stories and characters. When I knew that this could become my job, I decided to study digital animation, that's where I realized that I wanted to dedicate myself to the entertainment industry.

Since he was a child addicted to video games. I spent almost all my high school years looking for some way to be able to make videogames through engines like GameMaker and Unity. Then I started studying computer engineering (as a way to get to the video game industry) but it was not until I met Blender that I could get into the 3D world a bit. I changed my career and moved from Venezuela to Costa Rica and started studying Digital Animation where I met Maya and was really in love with all this.

I realised I wanted to work on creative industries when I was a kid, and all I did was watch movies, play videogames, read comics and play with action figures. The thing is I grew up and I still do all those things everytime I can. I wanted to work on them but I didn´t know the name of the career until I wad 17.

Always loved art, however, once I enrolled in university and started taking my classes, I realized all the opportunities the animation industry had to offer.

I've always grown up around art and storytelling. I'd love to read and listen to my parents stories, or just see my family's art they were developing constantly. I knew i wanted to go into animation when i realized that was the perfect way to combine storytelling and art. I've grown to love bringing stories into characters of environments and making them as complex as a person can be by just looking at an image/

I realise I wanted to work on this industry when I couldn´t stop making up stories and writing/designing for them.

I realized about this when I found out there was a chance to study animation in Costa Rica. I always love watching animated movies and got really inspired by this.

When I was studying Public Administration at the University, I was not happy with what I was doing and an ex-girlfriend made me open my eyes and realize about it.

I’m 26 yr/o. I didn’t pick up a pencil until I was 19. I went through art college thinking I didn’t “need” to draw. I was just avoiding the fact that I sucked at drawing. But at the end of my education I decided to face my fears and try doing what I truly loved the most: 2D animations, like the thousands of hours of 2D I’ve watched through my life. I took that chance and never looked back. I’m still learning and growing, but most importantly I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.

I always liked animation and everything that involves it (especially 3D), I was also curious about the whole process behind each movie and how "life" is given to characters and environment. Since then I have always liked 3D animation.

Since I was a child, I always had an approach to art, especially painting and drawing. But it was not until the DVD special edition of the first movie of the Lord of the Rings came out, that he spent weeks watching the making of again and again, listening to the artists explain the reason for everything in the film.
