While studying 3D art and first realizing I can turn my hobby into a career

Hi my names Ofir and I’m studying 3D animation for my second year at IAC in Tel Aviv. I’ve also studied painting and drawing at FRAME BY FRAME with Ben Ozeri. I’m currently working as a freelancer in 3D animation with Maya and Lighwave software. I specialize in texturing, lighting, render, modeling and animation.

ever since I know my self art had a massive impact on me when I started to learn 3D I discovered a whole new world of creativity! the more I study and learn I realize that I want to be an active part of this world, work on movies, games and create imaginary things. There is no better way to work on something which is also your biggest passion.

When i first started digitally painting

3 years ago I bought the ipad pro, download procreate and i just enjoyed drawing charcters, last year i stared classic animation study in IAC added after effects and blender cures

During covid I Guess.

In 1994 when the Disney film 'The Lion King' came to theaters, I fell in love with animation. But it was only since recently that I started to aim my goals toward that ambition.

From watching cinematic game trailers and looking through 3d works in Art station, I wanted to be able to make those too and be paid to do so.

I first realized that I wanted to work in the entertainment industry was when my teacher in junior high told my mother that I was good at editing videos.

In early age, I realized that stories and storytelling was something I was passionate about.

Ever since Buzz landed on Andy's bed

Ever since my childhood my parents took me to see the newest animated films in cinema, and after every film I found myself asking the same question - how did they do it? how did characters and props become so alive to tell a story in a compelling way? That is why I started attending animation anc cg studies - to be one of those amazing people that affected my growth.

after my military service 3 year ago i started using blender and fall in love with cgi

I realized I wanted to go into the creative field when I Had just gotten my degree for animal care and started my position at the petting zoo. I really enjoyed it, but it wasn't what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Since art was my real passion, I ended up at game Artist after looking into other studies.

When I was in school I used to play games. I love the art style and characters of the games, so I want make characters and assets on my own.

BSEMC - Game Development Graduate now focusing on 3D Environment & Prop Art, branching out towards Photography, Cinematography and VFX with some World Building & Creative Writing on the side.

Ever since I played a lot of video games when I was little, I was so amazed on how people animate how a character moves in a realistic manner. I decided to practice my animation skills to work and I'm willing to improve whatever the costs.

There was never a single point where I realised I wanted to work in the creative industry. I grew up drawing, saw my dad modelling 3D models, while my brother went to art school. I guess I developed my love for art in this environment and wanted that to be my job. It wasn't until I actually enrolled into art school, that I decided I wanted to become a character artist.

As a teenager, I played a lot of GTA San Andreas. When I finished the game, I downloaded mods to make the game look all funky. One day, I decided to learn how to make my own mods. I downloaded Google Sketchup and started learning how to make 3D models. When I had to apply to a course at college, I applied for "Game Art" so I could make my hobby to make 3D art into a job.

Since i was a child, drawing and reading books were a big part of my life. Creating animation movies is the next step in this road that i want to take.

In 12th standard i decided to join in creative industry
