Round of applause for our sponsors

I was never really happy with the idea of going to university and studying for a job that would require staring at the same boring statistics everyday and rather wanted to work in a field that would challenge my creativity. The special effects in movies like Avatar and the Hobbit Trilogy had such a lasting impression on me that by the time I came across my school I wanted to sign up and learn everything about it.

Still thinking about what to write here.

I love it to create thinking and living creatures and characters. I probably always did. I was one of the kids talking to my drawings. For me they were alive. That probably subconsciously lead me into the direction of becoming an animator. Besides that, I love it to connect with artists all over the world and talking to aspiring people! Create, Emote, and Inspire!

Hi, my name is Philipp. I am a texturing/lighting/lookdev artist from Cologne. I always had a great passion for photography and drawing and dreamed to pursue a career as an artist one day. I was really inspired from the movie Avatar I watched back in 2009. At the age of 13 I started to experiment with Autodesk Maya and Cinema 4D. I have recently graduated from Pixl Visn Media Arts Academy and I am currently looking for any new opportunities! For any requests, feel free to contact me!

Around three years ago, I discovered my passion for the creative industry and knew immediately that I had found my professional home there.

It all started with photography, where my love for captivating images and cinematic storytelling was awakened. While working full-time in science, I built up a small photography and video business and realized that my heart really belonged in the realm of creativity. I wanted to delve deeper into the creative industry and expand my skills to pursue a career that would allow me to work on prestigious film and commercial projects. So I decided to enter the world of VFX.

I realized my passion for creative industries many years ago when I began exploring the exciting world of 3D in my free time. This fascination grew even more over time, leading me to pursue the 18-month training at Pixl Visn Media Arts Academy. The experience I gained during this education solidified my desire to work in this dynamic field and my passion for 3D.

I was creative from an early age and while I was at school I wanted to work in a creative profession later on. So I would say that I have always wanted to express my creativity also at work.

Ever since I was young, being creative has been super important to me. Creativity, whether through art, movies, games, or problem-solving, has always been at the core of who I am, shaping how I see things and bringing purpose and happiness to my life.

Since I was young, self-expression was my passion. Movies really got to me, stirring something deep inside. They inspired me to dive into the creative world, aiming to share those same feelings with others through storytelling and visual art!

In the vibrant echoes of art studios and cinematic marvels, my passion ignited. As a fine art graduate and ardent film aficionado, I realized early on that my destiny lay in the boundless realms of the creative industries.

I always had a hunch that I wanted to do something with Computers and Games specifically, and my first contact with 3D modeling was during my apprenticeship with the use of CAD programs where I realized that I found something I really like doing, so after getting started with blender in my spare time I knew what my goal was.

Growing up in South Africa was a turning point for my artistic journey. Surrounded by its breathtaking nature and wildlife, I couldn't help but imagine crafting worlds of my own. That sparked a passion for drawing within me that never waned. Whether it was sketching landscapes, creatures, or capturing life's moments, I was hooked. Returning to Europe, I ventured further into the realm of 3D and visual effects. It was then that I realized my ultimate goal: to breathe life into my drawings.

I grew up playing a lot of video games and watching a ton of movies. I always wondered how these effects were made and wanted to create them on my own. That's when I first discovered Blender and started playing with it. It led me to where I am right now, studying at PIXL VISN media arts academy in Germany.

I was only eight years old, but I was already sure that I wanted to do something with 3D. Even tho back then I only said that "I want to do something with games". I went to arts middle and high school and when I was 19 when I came back to the idea of getting into 3D arts.

Since I was very young I had an interest in drawing, comic books, movies and video games. I would spend most of my time immersed in fantasy worlds. I still do it by playing a little too much Dungeons and Dragons.

I've been pretty early capitvated by movies. I love the art about film making, creating mood and tell an emotional Story that helps the audience to sink in to these immersive sceneries. Growing up as a PC User, 3D art is the perfect fit for me, working with technology and add the magic to the final Capture.

I discovered my talent for IT and creativity at a very young age and knew that I definitely wanted to do something in that direction. In 2022 I started my intensive diploma course at PIXL Visn in Cologne. There I began to combine and promote my talents.

Like most children, I was addicted to the magical worlds of Disney. Even as a young child, it was clear to me that I wanted to create such worlds myself.

Early on, I felt destined for a career involving computers, but I wasn't sure where exactly. Growing up surrounded by video games and films, I immersed myself in exploring the production processes, especially in the field of VFX. At PIXL VISN media arts academy, I realized that animation was more than just an interest—it was my true passion, where my talents flourished.

In my childhood, I often indulged in crafting and other forms of creativity. When it came time to consider a career path, I stumbled upon PIXL VISN MEDIA ARTS ACADEMY at a career fair. Upon a recommendation to explore Blender, I immediately fell in love with 3D. After a few years as a hobbyist, it became clear that character work was my true passion. Just weeks into my journey at PIXL VISN, I confirmed my deep passion for 3D modeling, particularly characters.

Since I was little I knew I wanted to do something in the creative industry. I always drew and painted when I had time. Nevertheless I also love the technical side! I studied Computer Science in Salzburg. But I also discovered after working one and a half years full time at Porsche, that I could not be happy with just being on the technical side, I need the creativity in my life!
