I have always liked drawing since I was small, so when I heard you could make a career out of it, I invested most of my time into learning more about the industry and community. Since then I have achieved my extended diploma for animation and I am continuing my degree at university.

The pandemic has certainly been an interesting time for all; however one of the positives that have come from it for me was a renewed love for CGI & VFX. During the Pandemic I decide to actively pursue my passion of working in CGI. Recently completing a BA (Hons) CGI/ Film Visual Effects/ Digital Arts Top up at Southampton Solent University.

I first gained an interest in visual design within media from a young age. During this time I became very interested in the cut out books of vechicles from various science fiction and fantacy properties. As I grew up this developed into an interest in architecture helped by my dad's engineeing background. This developed into a love of Science fiction and technology which I followed in school with computer science and art leading to my interest in creative media and the career path I'm following.

I first realized I wanted to work in creative media industry during the first year of my college course.

I first got into art when my mother introduced me to drawing at a young age and 'trained' me to be a great artist, i got into the creative industry because i love to explore ideas and create amazing pieces of art of all forms.

I enjoyed playing games and was interested in game develop which soon changed to Arch viz.

I first realised I wanted to work in the Creative Media Industry when I saw the emergence of CGI films and Motion Capture within Avatar!

I first realised I wanted to do VFX when I was in my second year in High School. I've always loved movies, and especially really cool visuals. My dream job would be working as a VFX Supervisor for a high budget movie!

Around the age of 14/15 years old. It's hard to say exactly, but I guess there was always a feeling this would be the career path for me. The idea solidified itself around this 14/15 age though.

I always enjoyed video games, ever since I was extremely young. Seeing how cool characters looked made me want to play the game and create them myself.

I started dreaming about working in the creative media and entertainment industry since very young, when I start to watch Pixar movies. That dream grow up into a passion that I've been developing in depth in the last years.

I really liked playing video games, so initially i wanted to know how to make them. I studied Games Dev at college and realised that coding wasn't my thing but 3D art peaked my interest. I enjoyed creating 3D Art and learnt that they were used both in games and films. Eventually i found out you could create animals with realistic fur in 3D and that is something i wanted as a career as i love all type of animals, so during my university course i did everything i could to learn this.

After watching James Cameron's Avatar in the cinema.

Like many, the idea of creating Game or Film art seemed like a distant dream that only a handful of individuals got to experience. I was incredibly excited in college when I discovered that creating 3D assets was not just something everyone could do, but something I could turn into a career. The thought that one day I myself could contribute towards amazing projects motivates me to continue improving, and hopefully one day I will see my work on the big screen, or in popular video games.

I've always wanted to work on video games, so I took computer science in secondary school and sixth form to pursue that, but I've always had that desire to do something artistic since I was a kid, so when researching universities I discovered a computer game art course, which is the perfect blend for me!

I've been a fan of Indy games ever since i started playing games and I've always wanted to make my own games. now I'm more interested in character art and am looking for a career as a character artist or something similar.

I knew I wanted to be a part of the creative media and entertainment industry as soon as I finished high-school. Afterwards, I enrolled in an Illustration course and, at the same time, became self-taught in 2D Animation. My passion for the industry grew, along with a curiosity for all the areas linked to Animation production. Due to this, I later enrolled in an HND in Creative Media Production and a BA in Illustration, which has led to where I am today.

I want to tell stories. I believe the stories we tell have positive impact on our world.

When I experienced the escapism that digital art and games can provide.

Ever since I was a child I always go frustrated by limitations that all games held in one way or another. They say if you can do a better job, do it yourself and that's what I strive to do.

I realized I wanted to work in the industry from a young age when I started using After Effects and playing around within the software. I've always been a creative person so working in the film industry seems like the perfect industry for me.
