Round of applause for our sponsors

Art and storytelling have always been a big part of my life. I can't see myself doing anything else.

Since I was young I've had interests in the arts and grew up playing video/online games. I was interested working in a creative industry during high school. I attended an arts college program called WaNIC under Digipen Institute of Technology, where I would reside for college.

My realization of wanting to work in this industry started since I was a kid. I was heavily inspired by all the games I'd watch my brothers play and have never looked back since then.

Ever since I was little I've always had new worlds bursting out from my imagination. At first I got them out through crayons and pencils and later with tablets and keyboards. I went to Digipen to pursue that creativity and fell in love with rigging. I built up all the skills I needed to tell stories and found a new path into creative fields.

Creating art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Doodling, creating little comic strips, editing videos and the sorts has always been something I'm passionate about. I've always wanted a chance to showcase the stories I've created. To get a chance to provide entertainment to millions of people is an opportunity of a life time, and I feel that the time is now.

I have always been inspired by animated films and dreamed of working on teams to help bring drawings to life. This is my passion and brings me a lot of joy.

I can't pinpoint a time, as since I can remember I've wanted to be an artist. Going through life has just confirmed that this is what I want to do, and all the media I have interacted with has inspired me to continue on this journey.

I first knew I wanted to work in games or films while watching the Lord of the Rings extended edition. In the behind the scenes, the concept artists delved in deep into their process and the prop artists show all the dissembled prop pieces and I immediately knew I wanted to be involved in a creative field creating immersive worlds and stories.

I've always loved art and when I entered highschool, I realized that I could potentially do art professionally, and have put everything I have towards that since.

I've always been infatuated with video games from a young age. I grew up in a small town in Tennessee and realized that I was in an area that was not supportive of Arts and far away from any creative industry school. As I got older, I found myself setting up my life to have work safety nets for when I eventually make the plunge into the creative world. From the moment I got my acceptance letter to attend DigiPen Institute of Technology, I was all in. I knew from that moment that this is for me.

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to get into an art-related industry. At that time I had no idea that the gaming industry was so famous. It wasn’t until I mentioned this ideal to my art teacher in community college. My art teacher introduced me to the gaming industry. This was also the first time I learned about the creative industry and wanted to join it.

First realized I wanted to work in the arts as an outlet for my self-expression, but being in a collaborative effort to bring someone's vision to life is much more fulfilling.

I've always been inspired by the cartoons I watched growing up.

I've always been interested in being an artist but in high school I started exploring possible jobs for what I would specifiacally do.

Junior year of High School. I had some awesome teachers push me in the right direction. The I got to sit in on a talk by one of the animators on Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse sealed the deal for me!

I realized I wanted to work in the video game industry during my sophomore year of high school, and from there I dedicated myself into diving headfirst in and honing my craft. I love being able to create art and have it impact someone and bring them joy!

I had realized I wanted to work in the industry as early as the 8th grade as I had started paying attention to the art and animation in the games I had enjoyed. After taking some courses in High School for animation and wanting to do more, I ended up applying to Digipen and have been working at improving my capabilities as an artist and animator through classes and personal animation projects

I've drawn on any medium I could find for as long as I could remember. As a kid, I was watching my father play video games and was fascinated by the immersive worlds and interesting plotlines. I knew I wanted to be part of making games.

I like the community plus I like to tell my own stories as well as helping others tell their stories. I've been drawing since I was in grade school on a continuous basis and DigiPen provided me with the tools necessary to be successful in the industry. I'm looking forward to contributing where I can in order to help others succeed.

When I realised that I didn´t see myself working on something that I didn´t like, and as arts have always been with me, and it aligns with my creative vision, I have only seen this as the only way I could work

When I was in high school, I was given a project to research what I wanted to do and study for a living after graduating. I had always loved art, and always loved movies, and they held a special place in my heart. I had coveted the "Art of" books of Disney movies and read them cover to cover, but it had never dawned on me until this project that I could be apart of these movies too. I was excited at the potential to collaborate on the animated movies I loved growing up with.

As long as I can remember I've wanted to have a job that would let me express my creativity. The first dream job I had was a fashion designer, then a character concept artist, and now finally gaining experience working on small games I realize I'm most passionate about VFX.
