The Ore
Several centuries ago a war has ravaged the face of a planet named A 320. In my project- The Ore, Production Art for an animated 3D movie, I revisit this world, showing a glimpse of the un-tamed nature who took over the decaying remnants of ancient war machines; Grad project in Vancouver Film School.
Several centuries ago a war has ravaged the face of a planet named A 320. In my project- The Ore, Production Art for an animated 3D movie, I revisit this world, showing a glimpse of the un-tamed nature who took over the decaying remnants of ancient war machines, and the different inhabitants that still roam this land.
The Ore was my graduation project for the Animation Concept Art program in Vancouver Film School.
"The Skiff", a concept for an encounter on the crash site.
Set design for the crash sight: Thumbnails, vehicles and 3D models.
Characters design. The human inhabitants of A320 are divided into 3 main groups: the legions of the New Nations- armies who came to take claim of the planet and it's natural resources, the Outlaws who took refuge in this overlooked corner of the galaxy and the Colonisers who made this god-forsaken world their home.
Characters design, from preliminary concept to colour drafts.
Prop design: The "Hound Tamer" - a multi functional assault rifle.
The Hound Tamer specs: flamethrower, shaped charge bullets and multi-purpose scopes.
The Zoot Mortar, a re-active defence system, and The Skipster, a mechanic power and speed enhancer.
Last but not least, the Hounds: a deadly bio-weapon. A mixture of an aggressive attack dog and a grasshopper.
