My entry mainly contains game ready 3D environment art. I am very passionate about environment art and tried to showcase my best work of it, as well as a few other projects that I am proud of. Thanks for looking!

Round of applause for our sponsors

My requirement for this project was to create a game engine ready creature, but as you can see, it didn't turn out exactly like that.  I decided to take it a step further and because of my love for environments, I added one to my creatures back.  The result is Turtle Island.  All organic assets were made in Zbrush, and then retopologized to lower poly for Maya.  All hard surface objects were made lo-poly in Maya.  I then imported everything into Substance Painter for texturing, and then back into Maya for my final presentation that you see here.  All assets are ready to be rigged and brought into a game engine.

The first image is a robot cop model that I made for my video game, which is shown being played below the image.  The robot cop was modeled in Maya, and textured in Substance Painter.  I made one level of this game in Unreal Engine 4 and learned a lot while doing so.  I constructed all blueprints used in the game and got character animations from Mixamo.  All assets were kindly premade and I downloaded them from the Epic Games store.  While I had the most fun populating this environment and using landscape painting, I also learned how to use blueprints, particle systems, import assets, add collision boxes and textures to said assets, and so much more.  I really enjoyed making this project.

This project was a little challenging for me, as I am not very use to making character models, but turned out to be very engaging and fun.  My character and clothes were made in Zbrush,  then retopologized and rendered out in Maya.  I used Substance Painter to texture everything.  This character is ready to be imported into a game engine.  Concept art by G the Ghost on Art Station.

This last project is very special to me, as it was the one that made me fall in love with making environments, as well as being the first environment I ever made last year.  I was given a cave dwelling concept art from my school and gave a stylized approach to it.  I also learned how to use particle systems in Maya to make the fod in the first picture shown.  All objects modeled in Maya, then textured in Substance Painter.
