The Boundaryless Night

" The Boundaryless Night" is a one semester short I completed during my third year in school. The story is about a starving stray cat sneaked into a house, which belonged to a woman that lost her son, seeking for food.

Many process of pre production had shorten or still in rough stage due to the limited time. 

The short is password protected due to recent film festival submissions. 

Here are the thought process for developing the short. 

After finishing the script, I started from drawing tons of characters sketches to get a perfect facade for the protagonists.  

After deciding the characters' faces, I did several sketches to get to know my characters and their background story better.

Latter on, I jumped into the expression sheets, both facial and full body. 

Meanwhile, I worked on some quick color script for the film, which, for matching my idea of using traditional media to paint bgs, were all done in gouache.

The last step before jumping into actual production was walk cycle and turn around test.
